Very nice little place to grab lobster rolls and other good food! The lobster bisque was so delicious and the lobster roll wash fresh and buttery. Parking is a little difficult, especially if you’re from out of town and not used to the area. The lady working the register wasn’t the nicest but food came out promptly to our table. The bathroom was a bit dirty. All in all it was super cute and had good food!
Where to start? The food truck. Upon arriving at my first SOHO Friday food truck night, I was pleasantly greeted and helped by Graham. I asked every question, and he genuinely answered. I’m not one to spend much money on seafood here in the desert we call Utah, because it’s always less than, but I was craving seafood and thought I’d give a lobster roll a chance since it said it was from Maine-to-plate in 24. I’ve tried other restaurants lobster rolls only to be let down, but now I had to try Freshies. AND MY GOD AM I GLAD I DID. I’m now a regular at both the truck and SLC location, because I can’t make my own this good(yes I tried), and also because of the people. A true top notch group of people! They are all kind and make a perfect XL lobster roll and spicy lobster sliders every time, and every time I leave full and happy. Thank you Graham, Sienna, and the rest of the incredible staff who make one hellofa lobster roll!
Ordered a lobster roll for lunch. It did not disappoint. One of the best lobster rolls I had. The flavor, portion, bun and the butter everything was great. The service was a bit slow. There is construction going on the road so no place to park in front of the restaurant. Just be mindful. Overall a great place to get lobster.
This place is just like being in Maine at a lobster shack (you order everything at the front and then they bring it out to you). However let me assure you, the lobster roll is better than any I had in Maine. The buns are exceptional and the lobster meat is always perfectly cooked… One of my favorite restaurants around.
As good as it looks! I got the medium size "Real Mainer" lobster role and the brown butter corn. I can't wait to go back and try the other lobster dishes and home made desserts.
Loved their famous Lobster roll. I told my friend that after I dipped the roll in the butter and took a bite...my socks almost flew off. I went back a week later because I had to bring my friend. It was delicious.
Love this place. Best lobster rolls in town. Definitely recommend coming down to the restaurant location and enjoying the atmosphere.
Casual eatery with phenomenal food!! Clam chowder was A+, lobster roll A+, and if you don't like seafood...the caprese sandwich was also A+!!
The lobster roll is AMAZING! Clam chowder and lobster bisque were delicious too! For vegetarians, they have a sandwich with Italian burrata. If you are in town you cannot miss this place! Plus the owner is a fantastic woman with many interesting stories to share! One of our group is from Massachusetts and she was impressed by the quality of the lobster. Absolutely recommended!
Very surprised to have this kind of quality lobster in Utah County but they were excellent! They say "24 hrs from shore to store" and I believe it- the lobster tasted fresh and well seasoned and the texture was perfect.
Downsides:
It's pricey- around $30 for a single lobster roll but I understand the economics around getting that to Utah so it's justified.
Small portions- The XL is really the only size that's a normal portion, the other two sizes will leave you hungry.
