This is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant in SLC. I’m here multiple times a month, sometimes by myself, sometimes with the whole fam, sometimes just grabbing take out. We’re here often enough that all the servers know us. My favorite item is the smothered burrito (and add the cheese and onions!)

The owner is incredibly nice, and always makes you feel welcome. The food is really good, especially the chips and salsa!
I love the chicken enchiladas everything has so much flavor it make my mouth water thinking of this place anytime I'm not there. They have the best chips and salsa I have ever had anywhere period!

Smaller and different menu but still great choices. Cozy, quiet, and a great date spot.
This place is our weeknight go-to for good value, yummy traditional Mexican fare. The chili colorado is especially great. We can always count on the friendly faces of the wait staff, and to leave very satisfied. I also appreciate that it is a local establishment, not a big chain.

Handled our group of 27 very well! Only one waitress basically for all of us, but she's a pro! Others helped out some. She was amazing! Great food. Great prices! Limited menu because of our group size, which I liked. We made a reservation.
Excellent experience. Safety minded, friendly and respectful service and the food was perfect! Plates were hot and cheese sizzling when the food came out.

Been going here for over 10 years. Started at a different location but it closed. Chips and salsa are some of my favorite. Prices are very good. I love the food, my husband didn't like it as much. The building is old and the parking lot small but it's clean.
Best Mexican food in Salt Lake City, i've been going there for years. All authentic and their dishes all taste amazing, very filling and perfect meal sizes! All of the staff are great and the service is top notch, try Cafe Salvestre out!!
I've been eating here since it opened(I still remember in the 80's when this building was a Pizza Hutt). The smothered burritos are still as tasty as ever. The service is fantastic, and every waitress is always full of smiles and kindness. Love Cafe Silvestre!

Service was timely and professional, ordered the Enchiladas and the house margarita. Both of which were very delicious. The server we had was extremely positive and very personable. Overall an excellent dining experience that I plan on enjoying again.
Good food and fast service. The only thing I didn’t like is how they charge you for almost every little thing. I feel like they nickel and dime you. They charge for chips and salsa and we ordered fajitas and the fajitas only come with the meat, peppers and onions. They charge you extra for the guaca
My family and I go there every few years. Consistently good food. Prices are reasonable. Never been a big fan of their salsa. Good margaritas but small. Family friendly atmosphere.
Our waiter was excellent. He brought out a little sample of the chili Verde and the chorizo before I ordered because I don't care for extremely spicy food. Both were delicious, not too spicy plus I calmed them down a little with sour cream. Great service and tasty food.
