Cafe Shambala - Salt Lake City - Photo album

This Tibetan food was like having flavor bombs go off in my mouth (example: eggplant and mushrooms). Loved loved LOVED the momos (dumplings both steamed and fried). The only issue (more like a personal preference) I had with the food was with the rice, but I'm used to a specific type of rice and met
Have been recommended to try this place for a while now and finally got to try it! Loved the chicken fried rice and their momos, all of it was served hot. We also got the singapore tofu noodles but the green pepper taste was slightly overwhelming, still good but will be trying something else next ti
Humble spot in the Avenues with great staff and great food! We got the chow mein, chicken curry, and mango lassi (recommend to us), and they were amazing! Loved the vibe of this place, itโ€™s very homey. Would definitely recommend
I hate to give this place 4 stars because the food was sooooo good, however it took an hour to get appetizers out, and then another 10 minutes for the main course. It was Saturday evening at dinner time and they were clearly busy and understaffed but an hour is a really long wait time and no one cam
I had beef phingsha and steamed veggie momos. It was so delicious! There were sauces on the side too. My favorite was the sweet tangy one, and it went well with the momos. Service was great. The hostess was very kind. Highly recommended.
A gem of a restaurant in the Avenues neighborhood of Salt Lake City. We started with a raspberry lassi โ€” bracing. It left me wondering why other south Asian restaurants do not offer this flavour. Apps of lentil soup and deep fried beef momos followed. The momos were accompanied by a delicious ginger
Came an tried the Momo's , they were good! ๐Ÿ˜Š Also tried the tibetan tea! It was very interesting an different!๐Ÿ˜„ Boy,an the red hot sauce is awesome!! ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ But the lighting inside the restaurant is kinda dark ๐Ÿ˜ณ, but it wasn't like lights out!๐Ÿคฃ the dining area looked clean from what I could see! What great find! The food was prepared fresh and served hot. The server was very helpful and explained different dishes and the traditional way to enjoy them. A nice relaxed atmosphere to sit and enjoy a quiet meal. The momos were delicious and I particularly like the ginger sauce available at the t
Some of the most friendly wait staff Iโ€™ve had in Salt Lake. Extremely tasty food for a decent price. Thereโ€™s no bells and whistles, just great food. I will for sure be going back often! We ordered: -spicy potatoes -veggie momo (half fried, half steamed) -chicken curry -hot chai
I think I'll regret making this review, but here it goes. The space inside is fairly small and tables can fill up quickly. You may even have the opportunity to find yourselves sharing a table with other patrons. The place gives off a morning deli/coffee shop vibe with the faint aromas of noodle, ric
The spicy potatoes are delicious! I always order the fried vegetarian momos. They put lots of vegetables in the meat dishes too. Everything is wonderful and I love picking up take out from here. It is much healthier than fast food and there's plenty of fresh vegetable. Love the chicken and broccoli
Solid 4 stars. Food was good but nothing extraordinary. We've had much Tibetan food and felt that the dishes were heavy on the sauce but generous on the portions. Employees were friendly and decor was traditional. Parking can be challenging so be patient and careful.
I had the pleasure of sharing a lunch with my uncle. A regular serving size was more then enough for both of us. We ordered the Chicken Chili dish. It was very flavorful and delicious. We also enjoyed a Mango Lassi (smoothie). It was delightful. I highly recommend.
We always walk beside this restaurant on Sunday, but it is closed. We were around on Saturday, and we decided to take our lunch there, and we were glad we did. There was only a woman serving there. Although she was running back and forth to serve different tables, she smiled and seemed happy. The fo
This is a fun spot to go for some Tibetan food. The service is great and the food was very tasty and fresh. I will definitely be back. I got the sweet and sour chicken and some momo.
Hands down, best Asian restaurant in Salt lake City! It's a must visit place for me whenever I am in the area.
Shambala serves high quality food in good portions for very reasonable prices. Also, the people are so kind and there is certainly a sense of care in their food and business. I ordered takeout and they left a kind note on the box and it just made my night! Itโ€™s the reason Iโ€™m writing this review :).
The service was superb. Very sweet servers and staff. Menu had a huge vegetarian selection but we expected better tasting food. The hot and sour mushroom and cauliflower was only sweet and extremely, also almost no salt. The noodles had a distinct smell but no real flavor and the vegetable momos onl
Everything we got was absolutely incredible! They have such a big vegetarian selection, and you could pick anything and it would probably be delicious.
