Checkered Flag Barbecue

I'm from the Northeast and this was my first time eating at this establishment. Service is friendly, food came out fast and hot. The bar-b-que is on point as I've never had vinegar based sauce and it complimented the meat fantastically. However, the key item that sucked me in hard was their hushpuppies!! Perfectly cooked, sweet and not too overly onion flavored. Infact so good I had to order a dozen to take back to Pennsylvania. I will be back the next time in town. Jason S. Camp Hill, Pa.

I have been many times to checkered flag but NEVER have i had such a lukewarm dried out meal as today. I wish i had gotten the waitresses name. People came and went while we sat waiting. First of all we waited a good 30-40 minutes for our food which looked like it was sitting on the counter for a long time while the waitress took takeout orders and collected payments. I saw someone else saying our food is sitting up there on the counter getting cold. I said when checking out...do you have a new cook? Because the meal was less than satisfactory. She said oh no we just had a lot of takeout orders. Well.it seems to me the customer who is sitting there waiting and waiting for food should have priority. i am so disappointed and then we sat while waiting for our to go order. I think those take out petrified chicken tenders (with no dipping sauce to soften them) will go into the trashcan. You have lost a long time loyal customer!

I hadn't been here in a long time and should have sent it back. Service was very slow as there was only 1 waitress doing everything. My stew beef and potatoes was lukewarm at best. The fries with the burger were not fresh. Only Very few customers there in mid afternoon. They do have breakfast all day.

I called in to place an order and I was rushed the entire time. My call was only a total of 2mins. And 38 secs. But I was still rushed and told that they had a line. The woman was rushing so much that she kept hearing my name wrong. She then tells me "ma'm,I have have line here" when I correct my name for her. This was just horrible service. Sometimes the food being good doesn't matter if you are rude to your customers. I am so upset over this that I just want to not even go pick my food up or even spend the money with this place. When someone is spending their money somewhere they should be treated with respect and appreciation. If not for customers and their money,then this place would go out of bussiness. And someone placing an order over the phone shouldn't be any less of importance. If you can't answer the phone and take an order,then DONT ANSWER AT ALL. Let someone else take the order or someone take care of the line while you take the phone order. I Can't believe you all would treat your customers this way. And this isn't the 1st time I have been treated rudely. I had my son with me one day and he is 8 years old so he was trying to tell the waitress what he wanted but was having a hard time deciding.she just said ill take someone else's order then... I'll be back to you later and just walks off. As Soon as we walked in we were treated rudely. Not sure if it had something to do with my sons skin color or not. But you all need to get better bussiness about yourselves. Just rude is all I can say!!!!!
