Staff at Baker's Nook is knowledgeable, helpful and friendly, consistently over years of visits. Their selection on candy making, icing, desert decorating and baking is the best anywhere in this area.
Baker's Nook food offerings make them a dangerous place to visit. Fantastic donuts, cookies and croissants. I got a ham and cheddar croissant today that was superb. Haven't tried their cakes because I like my delusions about the quality of my own, but the decorating I've seen is gorgeous.
Thank you Bakers Nook for surpassing all my expectations on our vow renewal cake. We worked with Dayna, sending her a couple of photos, and talking on the phone, since we are from out of state. She not only captured exactly what we wanted, but went above and beyond, personalizing it with travel stickers from our favorite countries and states. We received many compliments not only on how beautiful the cake was, but also how good it tasted. With the cake being the anchor to all the decorations, I want to say a huge thank you Bakers Nook, you hit it out of the ball park with this one.
In a personal note to Dayna, the flowers you made for this cake were stunning!! You really have a lot of talent, and I am so happy we chose you to bring this design to reality. You were so easy to work with, you listened to our wants and added things to enhance the end product. I can't say thank you enough for all your work. I would give you more than five stars if I could!
They did an amazing job on our wedding cake!!! Received many compliments on looks and taste. They listened to exactly what we wanted and made it com alive!!! Will have them make all of our future cakes for sure.
Baker's Nook did a fabulous job with the sheet cake for my colleague's recent retirement party! It was easy to place the order over the phone, and they created a fabulous beach/scuba-diving scene on the top (complete with air tanks and a shark fin). I'd definitely recommend them for any future cake needs!

10/23: Addendum
The owner, Brian, contacted me to discuss my dissatisfaction with the cake I recently purchased. He apologized, and was empathetic to my situation. It was obvious he values his customers. Great service recovery. I'm not giving up on Bakers Nook, their cakes are normally delicious.
10/20:
Purchased a two tiered cake with strawberry filling, for a baby shower. There was the thinnest layer of filling and the cake had very little flavor. This was not the usual quality of Bakers Nook Cakes, when I spoke with Ann at Bakers Nook, she advised me they put a thin layer of filling in the two tiered cakes, as the layers can slide when customers transport them. She also told me that there was plenty of frosting on the outside to give it flavor. I should have been advised that there would be very little filling on this cake. It was obvious that Ann was not concerned about my dissatisfaction. I've been purchasing Bakers Nook cakes for over 20 years. I'm very disappointed in their customer service.
Love the employees and the fact that you can get a sweet treat as well as something to eat while you are there.
