Boon's Treasury

Just came for the Ruby Ale this time 🤩🍺 But this place is magical! There’s so many enchanted little details and a great vibe. The food is dialed in, and of course the drinks are wide ranging and delicious to meet any mood. But for real the live music just takes it up a notch. This place has and will continue to be a family haven for us for years to come!

Overall Score: 36/50 (3 stars feels more accurate) Cleanliness: I honestly can't speak to this one as much because the space is SO dark. I'm sure it's clean, so I won't rate it too harshly, but the decor and environment really make it feel dirty. (7/10) Service: Nothing stands out about the service, but it wasn't bad either. Timely and the servers had a good attitude. Keep in mind, I went when there were very few people at the restaurant... (8/10) Quality: As far as beer selection goes, I would say it's decent, but I'm not a huge fan of the rest. Appetizers and entrees are just decent in my opinion. 🤷🏼‍♂️ (7/10) Environment: This could be massively improved. It's dark, disjointed decor, and not super inviting. (7/10) Uniqueness: Oddly enough, it is unique, but not necessarily in ways that makes me want to recommend it to friends as a primary option. The price, experience, and options make me think there are better places to go. (7/10)

Burgers tasted fresh but plain could of used a tad bit more seasoning. The fries were crisp and hot, excellent. The buns on the burgers are my only complaint. They were overly soggy. Other than that good little place downtown. Menu isn't very big but thats not a bad thing. :) UPDATE: Food made me sick :(

Talk about a warm and inviting vibe when you first go into Boon’s Treasury! This place is so comfortable and the people are great! Our server was right there with our drink orders and after we’d relaxed with a beverage , she was back to take our food order and it came out very quickly. The food was off the hook incredible and the beers are just as good! I’ll be back to Boon’s and I know that it’s going to be just as great

We had about 2 dozen in our group the evening of 3-25-2022. They didn't know we were coming but were able to accommodate use. Maybe we got lucky or maybe they are still a little slow recovering from Covid related issues. I think we got lucky. They seemed well staffed, the service was spot on too! Some places tend to ignore a water drinker and I was drinking water, I got the same great service that the rest of the group got. The food was terrific, perfect portion, seasoning and presentation. They did an amazing job serving all of us at basically the same time too. We will definitely be back. I would call ahead just to be safe if you have a huge group. Seriously, just the fact that all the tables down the middle of the restaurant were available is pure luck.

I usually go to McMenamin's and order the tnt basket at the Thompson's location here in salem because that fried chicken is the closest I've found to my own. Stupidly, on a phone order pick up I ordered the same at the boon's treasury location thinking it would be atleast alike... Alas I was disappointed to discover the frozen chicken tenders you could get at any gas station deli. Not the quality I've come to enjoy/expect from a McMenamin's. Needless to say ill still be eating the Cajun tots because lets face it how can you c screw those up. But those chicken strips are trash. So thats where they're going. Wont be back to this location.
