I love their Pan Dulce especially when they are fresh off the batch between 7am-8am.With a nice cup of coffee or hot chocolate to enjoy with familia. Also the people who work there are awesome and very friendly. My kids love their mini conchas those are the best for toddlers ❤️ I recommend San Miguel for their delicious pan dulce 🥟🥐🥖🍩🍪🧁🥧🍰

I love this bakery. I have been going here for 4 years. Their fresh baked pastries taste amazing. My favorite is the cheese Danish. I would say they have got the best tres leches cake in saint paul. I have repeated my purchase of their leches cake and variety of flavors for differentpeople in my family. Its always a great cake at the occasion. They are always so friendly and open to non Spanish speakers, although speaking a little spanish helps. Definitely reccomend to everyone.

My apologies to the owner of this bakery. This is my favorite go-to for traditional Mexican pastries. There's another store on E 7th that I confused with this one that I meant to rate 2 stars. San Miguel Pastelería has the best 3-leches cake in the Twin Cities. Strongly recommend!

Excellent quality of product. Service was also very good, in spite of a significant language barrier. Unless you speak Spanish, I highly recommend writing down any questions you may have ahead of time and translating them to Spanish for a smoother experience. (Even if you do speak Spanish, writing down your questions ahead of time is a good practice anyway when shopping)

This place has a huge variety of baked goods at very reasonable prices. I especially love the conchas (a slightly sweetened roll with a layer of colored sugar cookie on top) and puerquitos (pig shaped molasses cookies.) The flan cakes are a go-to for special occasions, choco-flan is the star, but the fruit versions are also great. Primer for the uninitiated: most of the baked goods are in large cases, you grab a tray and a tongs and pile up what you want. Bring your tray to the counter and the cashier will pack everything into bags and ring you up. Tips: Cash for transactions under $5, go on a weekend if your Spanish isn't great and you want to ask questions, but really, most items cost a dollar or less and are delicious, so just try whatever looks interesting!
