i <3 pinos pizza. my dad went there for many years before, and now ingo to the school nesr there so j go tbere for lunch. pini diesnt charge me for my drinks, and two days ago gave me my pizza for free after my card declined and just made me promise i woukdnpay him back. wonderful pizza, great people
You gotta love these guys. Big talkers, big personalities, big slices. I happened to walk in near closing time, so the slice selection was limited. There was one cheese slice left, and it became mine. In talking with Pino, he asked me to come back earlier in the day next time so I could sample a larger selection. So while enjoying my slice, I saw him throw in another pie and thought that was odd because they were closing and trying to sell off what they had left. Come to find out, it was for me. When it was done, I hear Pino calling from behind the counter for me to come up. He gave me a slice for free. He wouldn’t take payment. So I told him fine, I’ll buy two more for the road. Him and his son were very grateful (and loud and boisterous which truthfully was awesome). I gave the slices away to a woman on the street, and Pino’s is now my favorite pizza shop in St Paul. The pizza was superb, and the owner was a joy.

Young Pino with the shades on most the time is awesome. He's like a father figure I never had. He reminds of Dennis Johnson an absolute stud lol merry Christmas from my fam to yours Dennis says hi 👋 lol
Might be overplaying my hand here, but easily the best classic new york style slice in the midwest, at least from what I've tried. Guys at the counter are always very friendly. Not quite to par with the ideal $1 slice, but 2 big slices and a drink for $8 is absolutely amazing. Highly recommend.
Literally The best pizza I have ever had in my life and the staff is so nice. Great prices, great pizza and a great place for lunch!
Come for the pizza, return for the personalities. Some of my favorite pizza downtown and they will remember you when you comeback. Just try to catch them earlier rather than later, they can sell out before closing time.
We go to see Poppy, Pino and Roman every Friday for lunch. We have been going for over 23 years, way to hang in there for so long. Wonderful food, great people!
