Friendly neighborhood bar, with food that isn’t your average neighborhood bar food. Attention to detail with the award winning menu options is second to none for bar in this category. Exceptional bar/wait staff. You can tell that management cares about the experience they provide their customers. The live music wasn’t overpowering, and conversation was still able to be had. We will be back, and highly recommend the Rec for that “Cheers” type atmosphere!

This was a fun place there was only a a couple of things that weren't perfect the Irish stew was more like soup not stew it tasted good but I was looking for stew but the pulled pork sandwiches and the corn beef and cabbage was good and the waitress could not deal with cash I think if should could have delt with cash she might have made more tips and we would have ordered a few more drinks but the music was off the charts I would definitely go back also they sold T shirts and sweat shirts reasonable T-shirts 15.00 and they had large sizes

The sweet chili wings were delicious. I would also recommend the deep fried tacos; they're like a taco salad in taco form. There is a good selection of beer on tap. Our server and the bartender were friendly and attentive. Go play bocce ball in the basement! I can't believe this isn't better known. I lived in St Paul for 11 years and just found out about this place.

Breakfast here is a hidden gem. I recommend the breakfast sandwich! Great prices. 4 stars because the cheesy potatoes are super greasy but everything else is 10/10!

Divey, townie bar. No frills. Gruff bartenders with excellent service to match the sass. Old timey regulars. Creepy dirt basement. Cheap drinks. What more do you need?

This is a good local dive bar to go to. I have come here to watch football or other sports. I have run into a rugby team that showed up which was disappointing. Made the place loud as hell. Bartenders and service staff are friendly and fast. The dining room and bar are clean.

Cool little place, we stopped in for a drink after a funeral. My wife's grandmother passed away and her father so my wife's great grandfather owned the Half Time Rec in the 30's. Pretty neat bar!

Best dive in St Paul. Great food and cheap drinks. Pull tabs, touch tunes, darts, and bocce!
