The Real Deal Vietnamese. You may remember way back, when Rex's was an standard American Diner. That changed a number of years ago when it was transformed into an exceptional Vietnamese owned and run Restaurant with fresh and unique dishes by exceptional chefs. Wide variety of Vietnamese and Chinese dishes are available. You'll find many local Vietnamese dining here as well, the sure sign of an authentic experience. One of my favorites is a steak salad with a little nuk mam sauce on the side. Their Vietnamese Iced Coffee is the prescription for a hot St. Louis summer day. Very friendly and the kids are welcome.
Such a lovely ambiance and received amazing service at this place.
All the dishes are so flavourful and fresh!
Highly recommend restaurant when in Michigan.
Great food. My chopped steak, mashed potatoes, and soup were all excellent. The pepper steak soup was especially good.
Service was fantastic. The waitresses were knowledgeable, friendly, and quick.
I tried to think of something to criticize but couldn't find anything.
Police, Fire, and active Military get 50% off their entree.
Outstanding restaurant. You definitely gained a customer.
Place was clean. Staff was very attentive and nice. Great customer service. Choice if food was very interesting. Would definitely go again.
This is the same business that I remember from 35 years ago, only the name has changed to . The owner Rex has been here since 1979, and I remember the food was good then, just as it is now. Our waitress was very attentive. We started with chicken noodle and I had cabbage soup. My friend ordered a patty melt with onion rings, and I had to BLT. Sorry I didn't get pictures of the soup, but both were super delicious. The patty melt Was Juicy, with just the right amount of cheese. My lblt was also done to perfection. After I are meal, she told us of the assortment of cakes that they had. Me being a foodie decided on the chocolate raspberry, which I decided is actually a black forest cake. They also had Cherry nut oh, and other very creamy Delight. The Taste was just as good as the Cheesecake Factory but at half the price. As you know I'm always a "check the bathroom" cleanliness girl and I like to check the air vents. I must say the vents and bathrooms were super clean. Thanks for the great meal, good wait staff, and relaxingambiance...we'll be back.
I love the owner and crew for years. When you find a place like this you will go forever... I love everyone there they are really nice and thoughtful.
Wide variety of menu choices. Friendly staff. Ample parking. Though tasty, the portion size of the dearborn ham on my grilled ham and cheese sandwich was very thinly sliced and not enough to cover my bread. The side greek salad was good especially due to them having the pink greek dressing. Family enjoyed their breakfast. It was moderately priced for the ample size portions.
We stopped in for a late lunch. My husband had a nice size stack of blueberry pancakes. I had a ham and swiss cheese omelette with rye toast. Both meals were absolutely delicious and no skimping on the portions. We also had coffee. Friendly and efficient wait staff.
The restaurant is pretty big. The service is fast and the staff is very friendly. The food is delicious. I would only suggest to clean better the booths as many times you can find crumbs on them.
Food was good. The Monte Cristo was on point. I finally found a place that can cook a poached egg just right. The only con was the waitress really didn't take care of us but she was really nice.
Super wonderful family owned restaurant with great portions and very reasonable prices
