Charming Urban Coffee Shop Nearly every Monday through Friday I drive through St Louis by exiting at Salsbury Street and driving south to Olive. Until today, I'd always wondered about this quaint diner at the corner of Salsbury and Blair. Today, after spending over 40 minutes sitting in stock still traffic, I decided I deserved to treat myself to breakfast. From the moment I walked in, I immediately felt at home. My days of going to cafes to write poetry and flirt with nerdy boys is behind me. Even so, there is a sense of quiet calm at Sun Cafe. The photos don't do justice to the warm wood tones throughout. Anna works behind the counter and makes all feel welcome with her sunny smile and, Good morning. The building is dated but the charm is contemporary. Hand made repurposed coffee bag hang on the wall for sale. If you're in the city, I hope you'll make the time to visit this community-minded restaurant. It'll be with your time.

This is a beautiful café with handmade furniture and fantastic food and deserts. After talking to the owner and some employees you quickly realize that your helping a small business that is giving NEARLY EVERYTHING back into the community. I love what they stand for and what they are doing in this community.
