... Great stop downtown for a quick snack or for a full meal. Service is great and friendly, almost as good as the tacos! :D

First time.. Very friendly.. Ordered chicken fajitas.. Very good.. A lot of flavor.. Enough for 2 people.. Would definitely recommend.
Friendly and quick service. The tacos were above average but not the best I’ve had on Cherokee. The best part of the taco was the fresh tortilla. Went on a hot day and it was very warm and muggy inside so the inside vibe was off. Odd that the menu didn’t have prices or much detail at all. Spent $48 after tip for 7 tacos, two beers, and a very large margarita. I like spicy but their house salsa was pretty aggressively hot. The sauces they served on the side were tasty. Will probably come back on a cooler day and try something else on the menu.
Our server was a young man and was great. Very attentive (not enough to be too much) and the food was fast / tasty. Chicken fajitas were excellent - the chicken was different than other places, more of a chunk instead of a strip and it was great. The beans were good - the rice ok, the guac fresh and the standard salsa was phenomenal. The other two hot sauces were good too, but the normal one had a hint of heat and great flavor. I'll definitely visit again! Side note - if you are going to bring a largish party you may want to call ahead. Seating is a bit limited and if you go at a busy time it could be a challenge.
Almost gave it a 4 star review as the Buritto was rather plain (served with French Fries which is very latin American). But, the selection of hot sauces (definitely delayed heat) made the difference. Friendly folks working the tables, and it looked like lots of other tables were eating the Mundo
Went there for Taco Tuesday and their special every Tuesday is tiny tortas. We gave it a try and they are amazing! They are similar to gorditas. I give them 5+1 stars because this Mexican restaurant is reclaiming Tuesdays for something other than tacos. Go give them a try.
Stay away from the gigantic margarita. That thing is dangerous! You either won’t finish it, or you won’t be *walking* out of there.
First time here and I immediately want to come back!
The service was attentive and friendly, and all the food was top notch.
The aguachile verde served with tostados and mayo was my favorite… I discovered that mayo is a game changer for aguachile, but I’ve never had aguachile served with it. (The mayo itself was very good too, that helped)
Their salsa and the menudo were awesome. The beef fajitas were solid too, and a very good portion. I was also super happy with my Paloma. Great fresh handmade tortillas as well
The staff seemed to know the other folks dining in, and so it had a great friendly neighborhood feel to it.
The best restaurant on Cherokee Street! Also my new favorite Mexican place. I've tried several of their dishes and they're all great. I especially like their soups, particularly the menudo.
We had the tacos camarones, the tacos al pastor and the steak fajitas and everything was amazing! The food was so fresh, and the family that owns it and runs it is wonderful… best hidden gem Mexican restaurant in St Louis!!
Amazingly fresh Mexican food ! Homemade tortillas. Phenomenal street tacos (shrimp, asada, pastor, etc). Amazing guacamole. Friendly staff. Yummy beverages. Recommend!!
One of the better Tex Mex/Mexican places around.
Food was very good all around, with the note that pretty much everything needed salt. Easily remedied at the table, and when salted excellent, but an unfortunate oversight.
Slightly hard to find by name, and a very small restaurant, but very tasty.
They had musicians playing on a Sunday afternoon. Don't know if that's normal, but is a reminder of a place I used to live.
Service was very good.
We'll almost certainly be back.
Giant taco salad was absolutely delicious. I got the mixed meats - chicken, beef and shrimp and all cooked to perfection.
