It seems that all of the reviews are pretty old, so time for an update. Bo Fung is the best quality American-Chinese classics I have ever had. The food has always been top notch. Big pieces of chicken, all white meat, no gristle or fat, FRESH vegetables- nothing frozen. Great Lo Mein. Really just fresh and flavorful all around. Good sauces, good apps; really everything on the menu is great. I live only a few blocks away, and delivery is always very fast. Once or twice I called during peak hours, and they warned me that delivery would be at least 45 minutes, so I opted to pick it up myself; really.....holy crap, I just started typing this review after ordering, and the driver just got here, 13 minutes from ordering to my door.
Best Chinese food near St. Louis Hill.
Bo Fung...the best chinese delivery for the crazy cheap price. It seems really sketch, but the food has always been fine. The delivery time has gotten longer and the prices have shifted up a bit lately. I also wish thru had Mei Fun. Still my go to, though.
If you're in south STL city, hands down your best option. Their food is a bit better than the typical Americanized Chinese restaurants around town, but their hot and sour soup is ridiculously good. Can't go wrong with the Bo!
What's not to like?!. I picked this place based on online reviews and the internet was right for once! First, the guy I talked to on the phone was AMAZINGLY friendly- so nice, in fact, that I considered writing a positive review right then. But then I thought I should probably wait and see how the delivery and food were. I can say that the positive experience continued! From the extremely nice delivery guy (who even brought my food up to the 4th floor since I was home alone with an infant) to the decent sized portions with actual real-sized pieces of chicken (instead of the little chewy bits-often a problem with Chinese delivery) to the great taste, I have nothing but positive things to say about Bo Fung...I'll definitely be ordering from them again!
Fresh Fast Fantastic. I get delivery and it's always fast and delicious. I'm always impressed by how fresh and crisp the vegetables in the stir fry dishes are. My only critique is that the meat dishes are pretty light on the meat--much more vegetable than meat--but everything is so delicious I keep coming back. Sauces are not too heavy/sweet as can be the case with Chinese restaurants
Always fast service and delicious food. Bo Fung is cheap and gives huge portion sizes. Delivery is always quick and they've never made a mistake. Also, their crab ragoon is also my favorite out of any place in StL--not too sweet but with the creaminess I love! Basically my go to for Asian delivery!
Some of the best Chinese food I have ever had and it's not to expensive either, I got a full meal(#7 and orange chicken with fried rice and an egg roll or crab ragoon and and extra order or crab ragoon for $11
I have been going to Bo fung for 9 years now.. I'm a huge Chinese fanatic and I have got to say that Bo fung is the real deal. I have yet to have a bad experience with over 50 delivery's to my home. The egg rolls are amazing.. Hot braised chicken is incredible and the crab Rangoon is just as good. I would rate bo fung a perfect 10 out of 10 and would always recommend then to anyone!
Great Place. I took the whole family and everyone loved their dishes. The place isn't much to look at, but the food, including the presentation, was wonderful. We were the only ones who ate in. Service was very friendly. I eat a vegan diet, and their were several options that I could choose from. We will go again.
Not going lie, they handed & charged me for the wrong order and then I had to wait an extra 20 minutes for my order. All that said, when I got home my order was perfect and the quality of the food was outstanding! Well worth the money and the wait! I will not be ordering takeout anywhere else.
I came in for a simple lunch from a friendly recommendation; a shrimp St. Paul with an orange pop. I was promptly greeted for my order at the counter and waited just briefly for my sandwich and pop at a clean two-seater. It was hot, fresh, and steamy. The steamed white bread was soft, and the veggies still crisp. The quarter sized shrimp were plump and succulent. I washed down each bite with the frigid fizzy orange drink.
Food was very good and hot. There was a missing item from our order, BUT they got the item for us and made it a little special too. All in all a great place to eat!

The staff is always busy and still manages to be nice and polite
They have some of the best duck in town and Noone I know has ever had a bad dish
My go-to carry-out Chinese joint. Pork lo mein, potstickers, and crab Rangoon are all solid. Plus, you get a free order of crab Rangoon once you spend $20. Just FYI because for years we were getting a double order and not realizing it...
Staff is friendly. The venue is a bit dingy, but that may be partly due to the lighting. I have never seen anyone eating in, but I am usually only in there to pick up after 8ish. Parking can be a challenge due to them being right on Gravois.
Quick, cheap, great for take out or dine in. St. Paul with pork is one of the best in town and shrimp fried rice and Szechwan chicken are always great.
Good food. A little pricey. Don't expect much in the way of service or atmosphere. But it's really good.
The food here is always hot and delicious! Also great service.
I ordered Kung pao tofu it was so good I wanted to order it the next night . Thanks for having vegetarian options. 🥰

They have strawberry chicken here, so many options you don't see at other Chinese takeout restaurants. Foods good.
