I'm a regular now, having stumbled on the restaurant while looking for another. One of the few Indian restaurants that don't 'cream' most of their dishes. There are always four and sometimes five vegan options on their buffet and the taste and service are wonderful. You haven't had the best smoky eggplant or okra until you've tried theirs (I know, I know - okra!).
Went there today for the first time and had the buffet. The "butter" chicken was very good and their nan was warm, toasted yet soft and chewy which I loved.
I even mentioned that I love the dish Chicken Tikka Masala and the owner/manager made me that special for free as it was not part of today's buffet.
I will definitely go back and it is very convenient to get to the restaurant. I highly recommend it and the price is affordable.
One suggestion is that I would prefer their rice pudding a little less watery but it was good and sweet.

My husband and I loved Indian food very much and we went to everyone of them in St.Louis and we agreed this place was awesome !
The owner is very kind and friendly, the food was very delicious,
Most of Indian place have very creamy curry but this place was different !
And better.
Eggplants was soooo...delicious ! we can eat here everyday because of
their food was so great !
Thank you for making delicious food for US :)
Delmar Location: Better than any other Indian buffet I've ever had, even though I'm a devout non-vegetarian. Went at an off time before an event at the Pageant and there was plenty of fresh selection on the buffet. It is a few bucks more than some lunch buffets, but totally worth it for the food and also the convenience in the Loop. I will be eating here before every event I attend at the Pageant.
This was a new stop for me, but I already know I'll be back again, and again.
I saw someone report that the staff was rude.. I find that hard to believe, the people I met today seemed far from rude. In fact the owner stopped by and took the time to explain to us the difference in our dishes, and how they were made,. He was very helpful and very nice.
I ordered a curry I had never had anywhere else before, Malvani Fish Curry.
It was excellent, I think it could have been spiced up a bit more for my taste, and the owner said just let them know next time and it can be.
It was a wonderful combination of flavors, and the fish was juicy and tender.
I had also ordered samosa chole chaat.. not realizing what I was getting, not just a normal stuffed samosa.. thankfully I had ordered it to go, because this appetizer is a meal unto itself.. It is sitting on the table behind me filling my office with a wonderful aroma..
We were a party of 5 today, 3 ate off the buffet, but I'll be working my way through the menu I think... everyone enjoyed the meals and I can't recommend Peshwa enough!
Great buffet! The chef/owner volunteered to make my wife, a friend of ours and myself, a special dish from the buffet. It was very refreshing. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. It has only been open three weeks. However, I plan on being a frequent diner!
Ignore most of these older reviews, they are for the restaurant called Gokul that used to exist at this location. I think Peshwa has only been open since 2014.
The food: I just finished having lunch here and this was my first experience with Indian food. Overall I really loved it. I tried a little bit of almost everything and found just about all of the dishes to my liking. My favorite was the Chicken tikka masala. Put that on some of their naan bread and I was in heaven!
They also had some delicious looking mango drink called Mango Lassi that i was not aware they had, until i was about to leave. I love everything mango and it looked great so maybe next time.
If you are in the mood for Indian food I would recommend you give this place a try the staff was really nice to us when we were there and the young man who was working was very attentive with keeping our dishes cleared and our glasses full. The (owner or chef?) seemed really happy to hear that we liked the food a lot when she asked us how everything tasted.
I've been going here for years - it is hands down my favorite Indian buffet and I've tried quite a few. It can be hit and miss sometimes but overall it's great. I keep going back for the vegetable korma and the desserts.
As far indian cuisines, this is one of the best place to visit.
I had buffet here, there are lot of option available, both for veggies and non-veggies.
In addition , too that rightly price , gives you delight , but they need to improve the abeyance of place.
small note : Do not miss 'paneer butter masala'.
I've eaten at multiple Indian restaurants, and this is by far my favorite. There's always a variety on the buffet, the food is flavorful, and the chicken is very tender.
