Living in IL now, I do not have as many opportunities to dine at, The Bellwether as I did when I lived in the city. So when I knew I'd be attending an awards brunch down the street, I only grazed. When it was over, I headed straight to, The Bellwether. Lucky for me, I got there before 2PM when brunch ends. I took a stool at the bar, my favorite place to sit. The bartender quickly approached and greeted me. I ordered a Bloody Mary and began to narrow down what I wanted as my entree. After a couple of sips from my cocktail, I decided on, Lox Benedict. It was absolutely delicious. The base was a typical English Muffin, but it was topped with; lox, chive creme cheese, pickled red onion and a sliced tomato. Then all that goodness was covered in, Hollandaise sauce. As a side, it came with smashed potatoes that were super crispy. They came with a little cup of ketchup for dipping. The Bloody Mary and Lox Benedict made me a happy diner. It also, made me wish I never moved out of STL, so I could eat here more often.

I hosted a work holiday dinner at the Reference room at the Bellwether. It was perfection. Such a gorgeous event space, amazing ambiance and very cozy and elegant and charming. And the food was phenomenal. We did a set menu and every option was delightful. Our guests spoke very highly of the dinner. The Bellwether teM members were super friendly and very helpful. I got to do a quick tour of the restaurant area and two rooftop patios and they are also gorgeous spaces with a beautiful city view. I can't wait to come back to the Bellwether for dinner in the main restaurant space. I also hear the brunch is delightful. On some weekend days brunch runs all day and they open dining space in the Reference room. I also learned that the building was formerly the City Hospital 2's power plant! The building also currently houses the climbing gym So Ill and you can see peeks into the climbing gym from the Reference room which is a fun detail.

Enjoyed a beautiful birthday dinner at The Bellwether. The restaurant is located in a private loft-style space adorned with Moroccan-inspired lanterns. Service was friendly and expedient! My Lorax mocktail was effervescent! Jerk fries were insanely flavorful (love the pineapple catsup!) and the pork steak was scrumptious. Cacio e Pepe was just ok. Overall ambience was easy-going yet elevated (I especially loved the Tame Impala playlist :) cannot wait to come back!

I go here all the time. This gets 4 out of 5 stars because they got rid of the pork steak. It was the best thing on the menu! Please bring it back!

We came for our anniversary. We almost sat outside, but it was too hot and bright. Inside was better, but the shades on the windows were still not good enough, and my BF was getting beamed in the face by the sun for part of the dinner. The seating was prompt, as we had reserved, as was the tableside service. After we received our appetizers the waitress came back 15 min later with extra plates and asked us if we wanted them for sharing the apps, which we had finished by that point so that was a bit odd. We got the jerk fries, and the spicy watermelon apps, the fries were well seasoned but neither of the sauces were "amazing" or screamed Jamaica at all. The watermelon dish was much more unique and interesting. I got the crispy tofu peanut sauce pasta which was absolutely perfect, very intense peanut flavour. He got the Chicken which he enjoyed. Atmosphere was nice, very well decorated and good vibe. I'd say the TVs in there actually cheapen the vibe if anything. Overall very nice night out, and a good anniversary.

The Bellwether has become a go-to for when visitors are in town, and we want something we know will be good with little fuss. The service has always been top notch and the food menu, while not as extensive as other restaurants, always has something for everyone in attendance. The restaurant is located in a very neat location with an elevator ride necessary to arrive at the host stand. The outdoor seating is very popular. Don't skip the cheese board!

Girlfriend brought me here for my birthday. I want to start off with the hostess. She was a whole vibe. Very sweet lady! Didn’t bat an eye at us (LGBTQA+ friendly) which was nice. You never know? We had reservations, and she let us choose where to sit, as the folks at the bar were pretty loud. Tuesday night, it never got crazy busy. I wish I remembered our servers name, it was his first night serving, he was wonderful! Drinks were good, food was good. The beef tartare. I’d say, my grouper was pretty over cooked. Very dry! But the seasoning was good regardless. Very nice place! Thoroughly enjoy my experience

We went in for Sunday brunch. They have a nice space, with both indoor and patio seating. It was busy, and they seemed to be a bit short on wait staff, so we had a hard time getting drink refills. Food was very good tho and worth it.

First time to The Bellweather but won't be the last. The food was exceptional, Smoked Steelhead trout appetizer, Lamb Shank and Mushroom Ravioli. Check the menu for a complete description. I'm a Bread Pudding guy and they have that too! Good beer list and great bar. Go there!

The lamb was delicious. My wife had the trout special and our granddaughter, the reason for the trip, had strip steak. Sauces and sides were the perfect accompaniment to all of our dishes. We also had a cheese board with the most interesting bleu cheese I have ever tasted. All together it was an amazing evening. We have been here many times and I must say the French toast at brunch is to die for. Highly recommend for any meal.
