Love the place, the food, the vibe. A great chill spot to hang out. The toasts are amazing and the menu is clearly inspired. I love this fantastic little joint. I've noticed some reviews comment on the wait for food. My advice: ...just chill the f*ck out, this is not a place you rush in and out of. You relax, savor and be patient.

I come to STL for work fairly often and this is my first stop upon leaving the airport! The food is incredible, the atmosphere is lovely and the owner is wonderful!! It's one of my favorite little restaurants!! The menu is always exciting and delicious and the pandan cream soda is life changing! #1 on my STL must visit list <3

Mom brought me in here for my 21st birthday, and even though there is no alcohol on the menu, they made it special and one to remember for me. The milque toast is the best dessert I've ever had. Cozy environment, and full of amazing people. 10/10

The food here is amazing - fresh, creative, delicious and healthy! The location is so cute and I love bringing my out of town friends here because it's like our adorable, secret little kitchen where we can sit over a tasty lunch and talk for hours. It's affordable so it always fits my budget. Cannot recommend highly enough. <3

Good food, good vibes, community-oriented. First time I went I was like.."toast, whatever. I don't even like toast". And I don't! But this is not just toast, this it TOAST! They even host concerts in the dreamy backyard garden zone!

Colleen the head chef is wonderful and community-minded. I love how she is always thinking of ways to address hunger, promote good and healthy eating, and that milquetoast bar is a member of Solidarity Economy St. Louis. The toasts are made with lovely bread and piled high with good ingredients that are tasty and pleasing to the eye. Good for dessert indulgence and a meal alike. Thanks for being amazing!!

Met up with the girlies for brunch. I had the Apple Chedder toast and she had the Mushroom toast. Even with how piled high these toast toppings are the bread was not soggy and maintained a satisfying crunchy toast texture. Drinks were mostly self serve which is why I think they forgot to bring me my Chai latte for the first hour. So I wouldn't go here for any fancy drinks but the toast options are a great experience. Wish we would have known better and sat outside at the gorgeous patio in the back! Also when we were leaving a homeless guy stopped in and he was offered a free meal which was great to see.

Quaint little Cafe with top notch loaded toast, nice drinks and delightful staff. The food is all made to order with fresh ingredients so expect a bit of a wait (definitely worth it). Seating is limited as the space is small, so might seem a bit cramped if you visit during busy hours.

Service was great. Food was delicious. Had no idea Milque was even there. Outdoor seating and live music were a great addition to lunch.

Wow! It is the sweetest place! So delicious, and beautiful presentation of the dishes. Colleen the owner was so welcoming, especially to my baby who was being kind of a handful that day. It felt so warm and homey there. You should go try it!

This place was amazing! Friendly service, delicious food, and amazing coffee! It is a small space, however we were able to fit a party of 6 without waiting long. The chorizo gravy was absolutely delicious. They even have gluten free toast, so almost anything on the menu can be made gluten-free! :-D

If I could give Milque Toast Bar 5 extra stars I would! After eating here I had to walk back inside to thank them for a great meal. It was that good! They have great fresh ingredients lovingly paired and presented like something you would expect from any 5 star restaurant, and personally I hold them in that same category. My smoked salmon on toast came with cucumbers, capers, onion, dill, sour cream and mixed greens, and it absolutely rocked. My wife got the roasted porcini and lion’s mane mushrooms, with mixed greens, goat cheese and fresh rosemary served on toasted baguette slices. It was a flavor bomb of a meal. Their small and unassuming storefront hides a team that is truly passionate about making food for a community they love. The unique outdoor art and live music transformed the outdoor dining space into a magical experience. It was something I didn’t know I was missing, and has made my day brighter for experiencing it. Milque Toast Bar embodies everything I’ve come to love about STL and will go down as one of the places I urge people to try if they spend any time in the city.

A tiny little jewel of a breakfast place in the City. I had the avocado toast and endless cup of coffee and both were delicious!

Went here for the first time today and loved the food! Staff was super friendly and service was pretty quick. I got the big boy breakfast and probably had some of the best bacon I'd ever had in my life. The place is kind of tiny, but it sounds like they have more space in the warmer months. I'm excited to take my family here so I can try more of the toasts!

Had a really nice lunch at this restaurant yesterday. I had never eaten there and didn't know they had a stage for music, too! The music had just ended when we got there, unfortunately as they had Sharon Bear and Eric McSpadden, two excellent local blues people playing from noon to 2:30. Well, next time. I had a curry egg salad and my wife had the fruit and cheese toast. We split a locally made tea as recommended by the server. The food tasted great, the day was beautiful and we could eat outside on the patio - very enjoyable overall. The tea was really tasty, too. It might have been just a little better to hear Sharon and Eric play, though. Next time I will get there earlier. I had always wanted to try Milque Toast Bar - my buddy from England stayed in an Air BnB next door and ate there several times - he said it was wonderful. What does he know, though? He's from the UK and the food over there the last time I was there was not great. Well, except for the curried eggs and rice I had for breakfast near Buckingham Palace. That was good.

Just had one of the most delicious and healthy breakfast I’ve had in St. Louis. The food came quick and was freshly made. The staff was very friendly and overall it was a great experience. Not too many seats so it might be difficult with a big group but besides that, highly recommend!

Came for Sunday brunch with my mom and sat on the patio. She had the salmon toast and I had the roasted mushrooms. The food came out quickly and both dishes were delicious and generous portions. The $4 bottomless coffee is a helluva deal. Really enjoyed the blues musicians performing - not too loud and obtrusive, really beautiful song selection and performance.

Very small place but unique. Thanks to google breakfast search, I found this place. I love trying new places to eat while traveling and not the standard "chain" places. Food was yummy and huge portion and presentation of food was awesome. My picture of my meal doesnt give it justice to the detail.

This was my first here (just moved into the neighborhood) and I was hungry. Saw this spot was close by and walked in. Fairly compact, but you where you need to get to is easily accessible. The owner is very nice and friendly and was helpful from the jump. I ordered the Cheesy Garlic Toast with added egg and bacon, and the Fluffer Nutter. Both were satisfying along with my glass of coconut milk. I'm sure I just found my new breakfast spot! And I hear they have live music that I was told I need to look into.

Good food, and service was excellent. We had our meal outside with our child and started speaking to us as we ate. The manager (assumption) noticed and did not make a scene. They walked over and offered the stranger some water inside and diffused any possible discomfort for their guests. Would come back for the food and bring any out of towner friends to try the place.

What a sweet spot with excellent toasts! Staff was up front about a long wait for food but we enjoyed coffees and cream sodas while we waited. Avocado toast - fresh ingredients, so much flavor it blew my husband away, and great texture with a seed topping. Baba Ganoush - lovely smooth baba ganoush and did not skimp on the artichoke heart and olive toppings. Looking forward to coming back!

Food was excellent and innovative, combined with excellent cosy ambience. Lovely hosts who are very caring. The prices were a bit costly for me, but worth the experience. Would definitely recommend.
