One of the best places for a great meal! The garlic dip is the best on earth! Order The falafel sandwich. Ask for Spicy.
Their garlic hummus brought me in (never liked hummus before theirs) but their spinach w/cheese pie is to die for! I keep telling myself I'm going to try the meat one but I can't help but order my favorite! One day I will...maybe ! Great staff they're all very friendly!
Honestly it’s “just like it is.” Authentic and delicious. My friend and I were visiting STL and stopped here for lunch. If I lived locally I would visit this place weekly. We ordered four different items. Everything we had was on point, and the sweetest old gentlemen served us. Would highly recommend.
The food and service are always top notch. Sad that this was likely my last time before they close. I wish them well and appreciate all the meals I was able to have at this sweet little deli.
Amazing Baba Ganoush, Hummus and Tabouli. Grape leaves are fabulous as are falafel. A treat for vegans and non-vegans alike -- plenty of meat dishes as well. After you've had their baba and hummus, the supermarket stuff just won't taste right -- because it's not! Thank you Al-Tarboush.
My sister and I really enjoyed our lunch here!We had been looking forward to getting gyros for some time and we got some tasty ones today. Sam, the proprietor, was welcoming and gracious. We arrived at a good time and dined in. It was simple - only two tables - yet open and intimate at the same time. Food was delicious: looking forward to trying shawarma next time. Really good experience!
I knew the moment I walked past this place it would be delicious. I was right! We ordered takeout just before the shop closed on a Thursday night and the guy waited for us. The food was in a little toaster oven when I arrived so it was fresh! We ordered the falafel plate, fries, and chicken Shawarma wrap. Fresh, moist, falafel, decadent tahini sauce, tender chicken! Great fries too at a perfect serving size. I will have to try the Gyro meat again, it looked fairly processed, but I WILL be back for the Baba ganoush and more falafel. You can’t beat the flavors for the price.
I just knew when I walked in here that the food was going to be 🔥🔥🔥. Authentic place that appears to be true to their native roots. My chicken gyro was so good, better than any others I've had in the area. I will be back to try other items on the menu.
Went here Today wow I was definitely not impressed cause I felt the prices were lets just say high for Hummus and Dolmas (stuffed grape leaves) 🙄 like $20 but let me tell you babay when I say these were FRESH FRESH FRESH NEVER BEEN IN A CAN Dolmas,🥰🥰🥰🥰I was so impressed the ingredients were beyond fresh...it brought a tear to my eye they were so good! I cant remember the last time I had actual fresh dolmas in fact I wanna say like 25 years ago...i paid $8 for six little ones but the owner hand rolling them fresh so worth it ...they get all the stars for this
The falafel and hummus are fantastic. I'm often asked to keep bringing their food to my family events. The family who runs the deli is very kind.
Just to reinforce, they make by far the best hummus I've ever had. Grocery store hummus doesn't even come close.
Best baklava I’ve had in a really long time. The salad and shawarma were really good too.
Good god, I miss this place. I used to go there at least once a week when I lived in St. Louis over ten years ago. It makes me happy to see that it's still going strong and has been for at least 20 years. At the time I used to go, it was a father and his two lovely daughters running it. I commented on how much I loved the music they were playing that the oldest daughter made me a mix CD of Middle Eastern music. I still have it and have converted the files to mp3, which I listen to currently. Such great food and great people. Next time I'm visiting my mother in the Louis, I'll definitely stop in for my usual falafel.
