Mac's Local Eats

Found this smash burger place and had to come try it. Wow, for a burger!! The corn riblets are yummy. Good crunchy fries. What else can I ask for? Gray local beer choices as well The best part is that this place is learning that they source WHOLE animals from small local farms and utilizing every part of the animal in the foods they prepare. They only work with farmers who are true stewards of the Earth, those who are committed to the ethical treatment of their animals. Great food!!!

We tried the Double Pimento Cheese, Sleeper, and RipFries. The Double Pimento Cheese and the RipFries were delicious. The Sleeper was nasty and we ended up going to a different restaurant for my husband because he wasn’t satisfied with it. The food gets done quickly and the environment is nice.

OMG! This place is the TRUTH!!! First of all there is a line to order or you can order from the bar and pick where you want to sit. Everything in this establishment is locally sourced and you can tell by the quality and taste of their menu offerings. I ordered the Gooey Garlic Burger (Add onion and pickles) and my husband got the Lumberjack (Add fried egg). When I tell you this is one of the BEST burgers we've ever had - I STRAIGHT UP MEAN THAT. This is the type of burger that you eat slow because you want to savor it but could literally inhale it because it tastes so FABULOUS!!! The beef was so fresh and flavorful, the bread was fresh and just enough to hold the sandwich together, allowing the beautiful and bold flavors to shine through. The pickles are house made and DIVINE. The cheese was melted and gooey. My husband had bacon on his burger and it was cooked to the utmost perfection. Our onion rings were delicious and just enough to share. All of the toppings and sauces on the burgers were AMAZING! The service was impeccable and there are local items to purchase if you like. They also have a well stocked bar available. This place is worth a drive to St. Louis from anywhere. It's that D$@M excellent!!!! Do yourself a HUGE favor and please make it a point to visit this restaurant. This is the BEST smashburger in St. Louis hands DOWN!!! These people are over here putting heaven on a plate and doing it with class and a smile. We almost ordered another each to take back to the hotel. This is a "don't miss out" establishment. You are so very welcome!!

Fun atmosphere, extremely friendly service, and food that I could eat for every meal of every day! I highly recommend the Gooey Garlic burger, and if you're really hungry like I was, get it as a Captain!

By far my favorite burger in St. Louis. Maybe, in general. Period. Mac is clearly very passionate about what he provides and serves to people. They go to a couple local farms, purchase whole pigs and cows, and have been since the very beginning. I see many complaints about price. I think you get what you pay for. Supreme quality product and I will gladly fork out my money over any other burger joint. Customer service is fantastic. The crew works very hard and they do it with a smile. I cannot recommend Mac’s Local Eats enough!
