This was a great lunch experience. The place look fancy with a clean decoration style. The service was great, one of the plate was cold, they fix it right away, the owner (I’m guessing) came and apologize to us.
The food was good, the fried chicken Brussels sprouts were amazing. The boozy shake (we got the chocolate with bourbon) was boozy af (which is good).
My entree was the “special burger” which was tasty but nothing spectacular. But overall, a solid experience. Looking forward to trying the dinner menu
Brand new restaurant located inside Cortex's new 4220 office building. The Chocolate Pig is a beautiful restaurant with a professional staff and an impressive selection of entree's and desserts. We went in the early afternoon and sat at the bar. I can't speak to the dinner menu, but it looks fantastic.
Ambiance aside, there are a couple things that might make this place less of a regular visit. The beer on tap is definitely priced high, as are the dessert options. I ordered the peanut butter bomb, and, while aesthetically this dessert is delightful, it won't satisfy your sweet tooth completely (it's more of a sampling). You'll be delighted by the delivery and appearance, but left wanting more. Order the bigger dessert options if you're really hungry! Again, the appetizers are presented beautifully but are more visual than satisfying.
I'll be returning for a proper dinner, and I have high hopes, but all I really want is a good meal that is filling (and not insanely expensive). It's good enough to warrant more visits to try out the rest of the menu. Go!
We tried this place out on opening and were VERY impressed. All of the dishes we had were super flavorful, well presented, and had generous portion sizes. The restaurant itself felt very friendly and casual. The ambience was modern but not pretentious and the noise levels weren’t too bad. The service was also phenomenal. We didn’t try any drinks, but I’ll be back soon to explore the menu. I highly recommend the Chocolate Pig to anyone passing through the area.
We came only for dessert. We felt a little underdressed in jeans, but we were in the area visiting so it couldn't be helped. We did keep our jackets on the whole time lol.
I love the decor, very modern. Maybe a tad dark for my taste. I love the hexagon flooring!
Service was attentive. She made excellent recommendations. Both desserts were unique and delicious! I love the artistry in the plating. They also weren't overly sweet. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd love to have a full meal here.
We were greeted immediately by a host and hostess who were super friendly and accomodating. The ambience is wonderful and everything on the menu looks tasty. They have a bottomless Mimosa bar for $20 that last for an hour and a half that you can help yourself to. Our server Jackson was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu items. We ordered the gulf shrimp and grits, the Banana Foster French toast, maple bacon cinnamon roll, and the cajun poutine. Everything we had was delicious. I cannot wait to go back and try some more of the items on their brunch menu.
Came here tonight for my birthday dinner. The restaurant was relatively dead for a weeknight. Only had another 2 tables and a few sitting at the bar drinking. Service was attentive. Dinner menu is well balanced but limited. The entree presentation is a bit slobby. The highlight is the dessert - peanut butter bomb and it's the bomb.
Had an amazing dinner, service was very attentive and food was 5 Star. We started off with Fried Green Tomatoes which were done to perfection! Ended with Mississippi Mud pie and Matcha ice cream.
Don't hesitate to try this place!
Lunch was great! Beautiful open space ambiance with several seating options. NOTE: the weekend brunch menu is very small; although there are a few vegetarian choices from French toast to grits there's only 1 vegan option. Lunch is NOT offered on weekends.
Perfect for groups, celebrating, meetings & date night
The bar is lovely & cocktails on point; particularly the Titos with lemonade. Quiet refreshing for a quenched during this St. Louis heatwave.
We just wanted to try something nee so we took a stroll around the neighborhood and came across this lovely place. I love the decor as well as the separation between the bar and full restaurant. Lucky for us, we walked in during the last half hour of happy hour. $2 off select appetizers and $5 drinks...SAY WHAT?! We ordered the chimichurri dip, a margarita, and paloma for starters. When I tell you these were all worth FULL price! I mean it. We also tried the mac and cheese and chicken fried brussel sprouts. So no, everything they order isnt full of pork BUT it is delicious. Steve, our lovely bartender made us feel very welcomed and even made sure we were able to grab a second round of drinks before happy hour. We will definitely be returning to try the full menu for date night one day soon. This is definitely a must try.
I've been here multiple times during the week for lunch. The shareables menu is on point! Can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but the Fried Brussels and Beet Ceviche are a must to start. The Hot Mess and the Fried Chicken Salad are my go-to's for a main. The atmosphere is killer - you can tell that every single detail was thought out to an incredible extent. Anxious to try out dinner at The Pig and to try the grab-n-go Market! Chef Tai's desserts are innovative, unique, and absolutely DELISH.
