Always delicious pizza, Chicago style is our favorite. Each pizza will feed a crowd. We love the atmosphere and the arcade games. The one thing you need to know is that a Chicago style pizza takes almost an hour from the time you order. It’s a wonderful thing if you’ve got time and are willing to wait. If you have the time, the wait is 100% worth jt.

The pizza is very good it is a ton of cheese and one slice will fill you up. They do not skimp on the toppings. Such a great value on food.

This place quickly became my favorite pizza place in St. Louis. Naturally, there is a long wait for the Chicago style pizza, but its well worth it. My go to for pizza in the STL area.

For me: Best “Deep dish” style in STL. It was a beautiful September night in St. Louis. A nice 79 degrees as I stepped out of my car at Wyoming and Spring Ave. The aroma of pizza hit me immediately from a store front with no name on it. It had to come from this building as my nose followed the smell distinctly. I stepped in the door to be greater by a most welcoming and positive energy that was the female bar tender behind the bar. The atmosphere was welcoming and family friendly. It was laid back. I sat down and had two beers while talking to the waitress. Shortly after, my pizza came out. 10” Chicago style, mushroom and pepperoni!!! I drove home salivating in my car as my precious cargo sat in my passenger seat. At home, I cut my pizza because everyone who is familiar with Chicago style knows to get it uncut so you don’t get your bottom soggy. Soggy bottoms get no bite. Common sense…. When I opened the pizza box it was love at first sight. The cheese was melted perfectly; the crust was something out of a magazine. It was cooked to perfection, so crisp, but so delightful at the same time. The sauce on this pizza must have been made somewhere in the deep spice orient then brought to Italy for its tomato treatment, and finally assembled by a master craftsman in the US for its final debut. The sauce is a deep burgundy tomato like sweet flavor that is slightly spicy but still tomato. I ate the whole thing that felt like it weighed 5 pounds. This pizza place does not belong in STL. This is something you would eat in New York, LA, Berlin, or its own Mecca of Chicago. This is too much flavor and goodness for the Midwest and can only explain the bad reviews this place has gotten. Maybe the people of the bad reviews had Covid, or a tragic ENT related accident that caused them to lose all sense of smell, taste, and texture and I mean that in the most respectful way. If you had a bad experience, give this place another try. You should try everything twice in life to make sure you don’t like it. And I mean everything. 😉

Finely crafted pizzas - every bite is a joy! Order everything at the bar. The atmosphere is unhurried - don't expect a fast food experience; the pizzas take time and are worth the wait. The staff are also chill and cool but are efficient!

What can I say about Blackhorn? Chicago style pizza thick yet sauce is not on top, the cheese is. This place is a pub and pizza place pizza garlic bread and salads only. Deep dish and thin pizzas the thin is more like original crust. Secret special sauce is what they say. It’s pretty good on the pizza, a little spicy. overall not too bad atmosphere is pretty cool you get to sign your name anywhere in the restaurant. On the brick or on the walls. Wherever there is space. They have some cool arcade games. Parking can be difficult to find. There’s no parking lot and you have to park on the side of the street. They seem to be crowded on a normal weekday so I can only imagine on the weekend.

Well, now, you talk about a loaded Chicago style pizza big time. Meat lovers have so much meat, and one piece will do ya. Warm big time, you don't have to worry about it getting cold. Got the 16-inch, lordy 12 or 15 would have been more than enough. Call it in as it takes a while to cook. Only 4 pieces are gone on this one. You can freeze it too. Shout out to the kitchen, scumptous as always. Update: I'm not sure what has happened. I'm gonna take a guess as I'm so disappointed in their pizza now. The crust looks pre-made & has cardboard taste to it, and the toppings looked to be measured out also pre-made. If you cut it, you understand as it's not crunchy or the toppings don't fall off like they use too. It actually peels the crust and toppings off together, which seems to me that cutting corners is where they have gone. As many times as I've eaten at Blackthorn, I never tasted pizza this bad that this is a big change, and it's not for the better at all. Sorry, but it's the truth prove me wrong as it used to be a great pizza joint, not so much anymore.
