Scarlett's Wine Bar

What a hidden gem ( to me anyway). I was only in town for one night and a server at a different bar recommended this place. The atmosphere is casual but still intimate. The wine selection is small but a great selection, which for me is actually unusual. Often a small selection leaves me unimpressed but not here. The menu is diverse without being overwhelming. I had the pizza and it was well prepared, balanced and very tasty. There were many things on the menu I would have loved to try. Brie BLt????? Where have you been my entire life. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Every time I am in St Louis, the restaurant scene is impressive. Great job.

Scarlett’s brings their A game when it comes to quality wines and quality food. What sets them apart is a much more comprehensive menu that doesn’t force you to eat charcuterie or gouge you for an entree. Their menu items are delicious, affordable and pair nicely with the wines. I had the beet salad and it was light, fresh and loaded with roasted beets and goat cheese. They have it in two sizes with the large being the price listed in the menu. I’m sure you can get the small salad and pair it with a side or add a protein to make it more substantial. You have two choices for atmosphere. The indoor seating is cozy, dark and intimate, and the outdoor patio is breezy, more social and had live music. While we chose to sit outside, I would easily come back for a relaxing indoor experience the next time I visit. Give Scarlett’s Wine Bar a try the next time you’re in Central West End.

We lived in Central West End for almost three years, but visited this only once before leaving. We sat inside but would recommend outside if it's warmer. The food and drinks are really good, the vibe is amazing. I had the Moroccan pizza and will recommend it. It is enough for two people. Cocktails are good too, I had the amour, which was refreshing after spending the day packing and preparing for our move to the East Coast. We walked, but there is free street parking.
