Convienient location to where we we staying downtown. The coffee was good as you would expect from Starbucks.
The Barrista was amazing. I ordered one of the specialty coffees, but I had it made with oat milk for my wife. Normally, this coffee would have whipped cream added to the top. The Barrista made sure if I wanted the whipped cream or not. I was very thankful. She said she always checks when someone uses oat milk. Amazing service.
I went to that Starbucks today and it was just like every other Starbucks I’ve ever been to. The coffee was hot, the baristas were friendly, and the prices were high enough to make me question my life choices. But the line was so long that I had time to write this review while waiting for my latte. 😂
It was very busy in the morning but the staff were amazing at making sure the customers were taken care of.
Same consistent experience Starbucks experience. Easy to get to from the street too, not just the hotel.
The ladies working here this morning were very kind and were in a great mood helped me right away
Also the one ringing up my order helped me with my Starbucks stars
This place is super super busy, people ordering multiple drinks, and the staff is amazing! So nice and working hard!
Well not sure how this can be messed up. The coffee was fine. The young lady at the register was great. I am not sure who kicked the other employees dog that day but it wasn't me. Sort of slamming coffee down and not very welcoming.
Been going here in morning before convention center. Staff gets your through quickly, even when the line is long. Friendly staff. Limited pastries and breakfast menu. Closes early, but that seems pretty normal in this neighborhood. Always got my drink order right. Prices seem slightly higher here than other Starbucks but assume that's the price of being in a tourist spot. My regular is $1.50 more here than at home. Small seating areas. Clean common areas.
Great staff start there every morning at the conference and St Louis
TL:DR; This is a Starbucks. Staff is wonderful, they brighten up your day; they get your drinks right with a surgeon's precision. Location is small, beware of conference days at the America's Center as there can be long lines. Only parking is for people who stay at Marriott, if you drive into this place expect to find parking on a side street somewhere.
Full Review:
This is a Starbucks. Nothing unknown about a Starbucks at this point. There are a few gotcha at this location, but first the staff. THE STAFF HERE IS INCREDIBLE!
The location is a smaller operation due to the fact that it's attached to The Marriott, but the service by the staff members adjust for the reduction in space.
They've worked out a system where a large line can move lighting fast. You will often find anyone besides the cashier trying to get your order started so that by the time you reach the register, you are paying for your order and receiving it at the same time. They are lovely, lively, and a breath of fresh air to a hard work week. They move quickly but still able to account for the details within your drinks which is something you don't get at most other locations. If I had money to spend on Starbucks, I would come here every morning.
Now the gotcha, the takeaway from this location is two fold. Again, it's attached to The Marriott which provides the majority of it's business. For most days this is fine, but the store is also across the street from America's Center which makes this location a primary target for conference goers in the morning.
Usually, conference goers are staying at the hotel where Starbucks is housed. This creates a perfect storm that feeds on itself as the conference goers from the hotel will come down to the Starbucks as well as other folks from across the street coming in placing their drinks. Not to mention, general folks who work 8 - 5 and are familiar with the location are also stopping by.
One time the line was so long it extended into the hotel lobby which was around the corner and down a hall by about 20 feet. The staff can move fast, but that location isn't built for such a tall order. That's my only reason this review is a 4 and not a 5. Beware of the days when a conference is in town, you probably won't stand in line to place an order here if that's in play.
