Sultan Mediterranean Restaurant

Enjoyed our lunch immensely in this quaint Mediterranean restaurant. My curry shrimp in saffron sauce was super delicious! Being a home cook, i revel in the play of tastes in my tongue! Definitely will be back to explore more. We had the turkish coffee too, but being here for the first time, didn't figure how the heads or tail on appreciating it, and our server didn't explain it. Will the gummy square be its sugar version?

Their curry sauce is fantastic and absolutely delicious. We ordered it in three different dishes: chicken, shrimp, and fish. The buttery, savory flavor just explodes in your mouth. The sultan pilau is one of their most popular dishes and was equally as tasty, especially with the cucumber yogurt sauce it comes with. Loved the addition of nuts and raisins in this dish.

We tried the " Musakhan" and "Chicken & beef Combo". I've tried the Musakhan plenty of times before, and I can say it with confidence that this plate was no where close to its authenticity.The chicken and beef combo was very salty!! It was good but way too salty that it's hard to fully enjoy. I would recommend Sheeshbarak and Dolma, although I haven't tried them at this restaurant, it could be two good dishes that's worth trying.Its a HALAL restaurant so anyone that only eats halal can give this place a try. I also felt it's overpriced. Service was good.

Hands down the best bread I have had in the US. What a find, I have been St Louis plenty of times and based on a recommendation ended up at this particular place. It is a run by a family and it seems they all work and help out. Nice atmosphere, welcoming and overall a quiet place for lunch. When we entered the restaurant it didn't have that many people though it filled up before we departed. We had coffee and tea which was decent. Will definitely go back next time I am in st Louis

Good quality food and very well seasoned. I wanted comfort food, and I got it with the Qali dish. It's a hearty beef stew served with rice and salad. It was absolutely wonderful. I also love the tea and coffee set ups they serve. The staff was also friendly and very welcoming. It was one of the best falafels I've tasted around the area.
