The specials were awesome, the service was so friendly and attentive, wine was good, and outdoor patio was so relaxing!
Very cool atmosphere! Our server was really good and had a great personality. Steak was very good and liked all the wines in the flight. Hidden gem!
Chill little joint that is a bit upscale, but still feel casual. We only popped in for a few drinks and apps and enjoyed our visit. Staff was very friendly and the home made chips hit the spot. The rest of the menu looked good as well.
Parking is all off-street, but we ended up across the street on this occasion.
Always good food, service, and ofcourse wine. I always wonder why I don’t come here more often. Romantic atmosphere and in the summer the patio is nice!
My wife and I ate dinner for the first time here and had an incredible meal! We were truly impressed with the level of quality, uniqueness of tastes and awesome presentation of the plate. The intimate atmosphere made for a great date night!

Such a tiny place! But that lends to the intimacy. And the service is great!
We started with the cheese plate, which offered three cheese, two meats, apple slices, grapes, olives, mini pickles, mustard and some kind of jam. I have to say that I thought the portions were on the small side considering the price of $16. And I couldn't even eat one of the meats because it was too spicy for my tastes.
Next, we shared the roasted asparagus and the baked goat cheese. I was particularly smitten with the asparagus - it was roasted to perfection and the ham was nice and crispy. My husband was crazy about the goat cheese covered in warm honey.
Lastly, we tried the roasted cauliflower. I think this was the most surprising dish - the red pepper sauce was particularly flavorful and the cauliflower still had a nice crunch to it.
All in all, a very sweet little place in an interesting neighborhood. We'd love to return!
Came here twice. Once with hubbie and once with another couple. Great for an intimate date night-good wine, good food, small cute venue. Waitress was great both times—knew the menu and drinks very well. Price was reasonable- not inexpensive but not ridiculous. Would totally go again :)
Wonderful neighborhood place! We come almost weekly and have never had a bad meal. You can choose between a regular entree or small.plates, and they have a great variety of wines and specialty cocktails. Wines are value priced - not at typical restaurant markups and include some out of the norm selections.
I threw a bachelorette party dinner here over the weekend and it was absolutely wonderful. The owner worked with me to get a menu that everyone would like. The chef came out and gave us an overview of each course. They were so flexible and great to work with and we had an amazing time. The food was awesome and the wine pairings were delish. I will definitely be going back with my husband, it's the perfect date night spot and their patio is so cute. I would absolutely recommend Ernesto's.

The place is simple, handsome, and cozy but not cramped. The chatter is not too loud, but it is enough to give vibrancy to the place.
Food is taken seriously, and of course the wine is nice.
What a treasure for Benton Park. In a neighborhood that has a high number of excellent restaurants Ernesto's holds it own.
I'll be up front - I didn't have wine. They had a massive selection, though, and lots of great wines on special on a big board in the main room.
As an appetizer, we had meatballs and macaroni and cheese - while I'm not a fan of meatballs in general and only had a bite, my date was very impressed. The macaroni and cheese was garnished with crispy cheese bites and added great taste and texture to the creamy dish - which was very well seasoned.
For dinner, I had the Steak Frites and requested it medium well; it came out perfectly cooked, and I was very impressed with the taste. I had the bearnaise on the side, and it was also very well prepared. The smashed potatoes were perfectly garlic-y, just the way I like them. My beau had the shrimp and sausage fettuccine, which he had ordered on a previous visit, and proclaimed it delicious (though I didn't try a bite). I'm certain we'll be back!
Ernesto's is a really nice place to eat or listen to music during a Wednesday night happy hour. They have outdoor seating with a fire pit for cool nights and the inside is cozy as well. The bar owners are Ernest Hemingway fans. I love his pictures and quotes everywhere. The owners and staff are very friendly. We come here to hear the Jack the saxaphone player.
