I have to say I was very pleased with my visit tonight. I was part of a 6 person party one of which had a birthday. Reservations were made. We were greeted and seated within minutes. Our server Kerri and her shadow was amazing! Table service for salads never had to ask for a refill or dirty plates to be taken away. They bussed the tables themselves with help from other staff walking and clearing tables. I ordered a couple apps and a ribeye Medium and side salad. Everything was fantastic! Although my steak came out medium well Kerri was on top of it and took care of it quickly. For the food served and the prices you pay it’s worth it! I’ll definitely go back!! Even the building and environment was welcoming and the bathrooms are clean! Definitely deserves the 5 stars.
Outstanding happy hour and superb food! We thoroughly enjoyed all four of our selections but our favorites were the beef tenderloin bites and the steak modiga flatbread! We will definitely go back frequently. Superior service by Danielle too!
My friend picked this place and she picked it right. The food was great, and the service was awesome. Alexia, I believe, was our server. She was attentive and present. Loved her smile. She was patient with us as we asked her about everything on everyone's tables. We ended up ordering pretty much all the deserts they had because of this. The food was delicious. I got the carnivore burger and ate every last bite it was so good. I highly recommend this place if you are ever in "The Hill" area of Saint Louis.
I really loved carnivore. The arancini were delicious and so cheesy! Chicken parm was huge and really good, well cooked, juicy. I got the pasta as my side and the sauce was amazing, but the pasta was a little overcooked. Side potatoes were some of the best I've ever had, filet was very good. Asked for medium, it's was medium. Prices were also very reasonable, especially for the portions.
The restaurant itself is very beautiful and very spacious so you don't feel crowded by other tables. We were sitting in the bar area and it was very loud, not sure if the other part of the restaurant is the same. The service was very smooth and efficient, our waitress was great and super helpful. She also didn't rush us or seem to mind that we hung out for awhile to chat, which we appreciated.
Will definitely be coming back and recommend others do the same!
Great food with a wide selection that represents the area well. Always good local beer on draft. Can either dine fancy or bar casual based on what you order. Herbivore salad is like an elevated Imos salad. A great date spot or anniversary dinner.
What a gem! Great airy, bright and colorful dining room and friendly efficient service. The poppers, toasted ravs, and arancini were amazing and cooked perfection. Our party of 6 had two kids and both of the kids meals were a hit, especially steak bite. The chicken parm, steak sandwich, and chicken Alfredo were all raved about at the fires were reallly good. The bone-in ribeye was seasoned and cooked extremely well. Significant marbling throughout. The loaded baked potato was the perfect pivot to change things up. Kudos to the team team here!
Burger week was EPIC! Spiedini burger was awesome. The shrimp appetizer I highly recommend. My only wish is that it was served with a bit of bread so as not to waste all that awesome sauce. Lots of draft choices. Great & attentive staff
The atmosphere was lively and inviting. Our server Nikki was amazing. She genuinely seemed happy we were there. She anticipated our needs and was accurate with our special requests. Everyone in the party was pleased with their food. Biscuits were divine. Fries were crisp outside, pillowy inside. Steak was flavorful and cooked as requested. I'll definitely be back.
Classy, lively and fun place to grab a casual or dressy dinner. Arrive early and enjoy the sharp bar and delicious cocktails. Servers are warm, friendly and helpful. The lobster risotto is amazing! Great wine list and several craft beers to choose from. Highly recommended!
We finally got around to dining at Carnivore. We started with a cocktail at the bar and ended up getting a table in the bar for dinner. The bar staff was very attentive and helpful.
We had a great meal and experience. Of note, the aricini was some of the best we've had! It was Taco Tuesday and the menu offered taco specials. We tried a shrimp, chicken, steak, and special fried chicken taco. All delicious.
We are certainly planning to return.
We were on an impromptu visit to The Hill so we didn't have reservations. Despite that, we were seated within minutes. Our waitress, Amber, was the best!!! She was friendly and positive and even looked up information for us about the area. She continually checked on us and made sure everything was perfect. The food was phenomenal, too! My ravioli was perfect, even without the sauce. My husband's burger was cooked perfectly and his baked potato was huge and full of butter and sour cream. Some of the best food we have had!
I dined in the bar. Service was prompt and friendly. The bruschetta was flavorful. The toasted ravioli was bland. I did not particularly enjoy it. The steak was cooked to the appropriate temperature and tender. Overall, the dining experience was good.
