Carnivore

The atmosphere was lively and inviting. Our server Nikki was amazing. She genuinely seemed happy we were there. She anticipated our needs and was accurate with our special requests. Everyone in the party was pleased with their food. Biscuits were divine. Fries were crisp outside, pillowy inside. Steak was flavorful and cooked as requested. I'll definitely be back.

What a gem! Great airy, bright and colorful dining room and friendly efficient service. The poppers, toasted ravs, and arancini were amazing and cooked perfection. Our party of 6 had two kids and both of the kids meals were a hit, especially steak bite. The chicken parm, steak sandwich, and chicken Alfredo were all raved about at the fires were reallly good. The bone-in ribeye was seasoned and cooked extremely well. Significant marbling throughout. The loaded baked potato was the perfect pivot to change things up. Kudos to the team team here!

Let's start with the pros, the space is great, excellent vibe, and nice seating arrangement. The appetizer arancini balls were top notch, specifically the red sauce. The Caesar salad was delicious and the dressing was homemade. A nice beer selection and our server was very friendly. Now there are a couple things that keep me from giving 5 stars. First our salads came out before we were finished with our appetizer, then our main courses came out before we were finished with our salad. I wouldn't say our server was "rushing" us, but you could tell she was definitely interested in turning the table. Next I got the ribeye, the steak was good, but definitely not to the temperature I ordered, and typically not a big deal but if you're going to charge $50+ per steak I would hope to expect the correct temp. Now all this being said, this restaurant is 100% worth a try. The bill was still pretty affordable for 4 beers, an app, 2 salads and 2 steaks and the dining experience was overall solid.

An incredible experience from start to finish! From our greeting at the hostess stand(thanks, Tom!) to the personal attention from Annalise at the bar, the service was exemplary. A visit from Mike, the owner and Chef, put this evening over the top. The best in neighborhood dining! Living up to its name, Carnivore serves the best capacious in the Lou!!

My friend picked this place and she picked it right. The food was great, and the service was awesome. Alexia, I believe, was our server. She was attentive and present. Loved her smile. She was patient with us as we asked her about everything on everyone's tables. We ended up ordering pretty much all the deserts they had because of this. The food was delicious. I got the carnivore burger and ate every last bite it was so good. I highly recommend this place if you are ever in "The Hill" area of Saint Louis.

Carnivore was busy but great. They handled our large party with grace & pleasantries. Just before the weather broke so we were able to dine outside (enjoying both the weather & atmosphere of The Hill). I enjoyed the shrimp & grits with an added over easy egg. The hostess didn’t flinch at my unorthodox drink request & it was made to perfection. Plenty of seating indoors, outdoors as well as the bar area. I’ll be back to try additional dishes.

I really loved carnivore. The arancini were delicious and so cheesy! Chicken parm was huge and really good, well cooked, juicy. I got the pasta as my side and the sauce was amazing, but the pasta was a little overcooked. Side potatoes were some of the best I've ever had, filet was very good. Asked for medium, it's was medium. Prices were also very reasonable, especially for the portions. The restaurant itself is very beautiful and very spacious so you don't feel crowded by other tables. We were sitting in the bar area and it was very loud, not sure if the other part of the restaurant is the same. The service was very smooth and efficient, our waitress was great and super helpful. She also didn't rush us or seem to mind that we hung out for awhile to chat, which we appreciated. Will definitely be coming back and recommend others do the same!
