Reviews Boundary At The Cheshire

First, let me say that no words could do this phenomenal restaurant justice. Friday night I went in for my first time simply because I knew the bar tender (Ray). I had never been to see him while he was working and heard he made the best cocktails around (I can now say, the rumors are true). I was seated immediately, the staff was very polite but still warm and friendly. Ray made me hands down the best Manhattan I’ve had in my entire life. It’s a pleasure to watch him behind the bar - it’s very obvious he loves what he does. I started with the poutine which was some of the best, if not the best, comfort food I could have discovered on a cold rainy night. After, I ordered the filet which was cooked perfectly, and so tender I cut it with a fork. The roasted vegetables and mashed potatoes were delicious as well. Everything was cooked to perfection. Over all, everything was perfect. I drove almost an hour one way, and I did not leave disappointed. Would highly highly highly recommend.

My husband and I love to stay at the Cheshire and decided to try Boundary for the first time. The wine list is wonderful; we chose a Pinot for $50 that was excellent; We decided to try the french onion soup recommended by our waiter; we split it as an appetizer and it was rich with a real beef broth, sweet onions and perfectly melted gruyere cheese on top. I ordered the scallops over risotto-they were some of the best I have ever eaten. Perfectly seared, sweet, fresh and tender. The only other time I've had scallops that good was in Spain back in the '80s!! My husband loved the Veal Meatloaf; flavorful veal and a homemade tomato sauce that was sweet and spicy. We finished with the chocolate mousse. It was an amazingly economical meal and one I won't forget. I will return to this restaurant the next time we are in St. Louis this Spring!

Every time I eat at Boundary, my meal is perfect. Last night was no exception. I had the poutine which is FABULOUS, the pork shank (they have the best polenta!) and chocolate mousse. Our service was fabulous as usual. Boundary has the best chef in town! My only regret is that I cannot give you 6 stars.

Excellent Service! Amazing food! And great place to eat with your family and friends! I love the Choco Gooey Cake for my dessert, loves my crab bisque for my soup and I am very impressed with the tasty filet mignon. By the way, you have one of the best mashed potatoes!!! We will definitely coming back here and refer to other family and friends.

We really loved this restaurant. The service, food and cocktails were all great. The menu is small, which I prefer. I'd rather eat somewhere with a small group of items they do really well than a large menu that's less thoughtful. I highly recommend the scallops, Brussels sprouts and semifreddo. All were excellent. Our server was really helpful in giving recommendations and all were superb. It's also really convenient if you're staying at the Cheshire.

This place was amazing. The shrimp and oyster table was great. The Thanksgiving buffet had everything plus Lobster Mac & Cheese. The Prime Rib and Turkey carving station. They had a great Charcuterie table with every kind of cheese, meat and vegetables. The desert table was to die for. You could make your own Bloody Mary and Mimosas. All the staff was very helpful and extra friendly. I recommend using the Valet.

Chicken and waffles for brunch were on point! I don’t like bloody Mary’s but the bar looked amazing! We were seated in the back which was a little dark but overall very enjoyable! And you can’t go wrong with Kaldis coffee

The dining experience was first class. The environment is visually beautiful with an old world elegance styled with modern lighting and decor that instantly makes you excited for what's to come next. Our wait staff were excellent, fun, and knowledgable about the dishes. Our partners chose Boundary after the ladies lost a bet at Top Golf, but honestly I feel like we won too! The food was presented beautifully and served at the appropriate temp. We are smitten with this place and highly recommend it to anyone who longs for a true "dining experience"!

Good food. My group enjoyed a few of the starters. The Lollipop Wings were great. Some people with me had Sourdough Bruschetta and said they almost felt full from that! The waitress was very nice and did her best but there was a large party there while we were so there were some gaps where we didn't see her at all. But she kept us in refills and was knowledgeable about the menu. All in all a good experience. Parking lot is terrible and finding the restaurant or a place to park if you aren't familiar with the area is worse. So be careful of that.

My wife and I went to Boundary for my birthday. From the minute we walked in the door, the staff was very friendly and attentive. Our server was great! She was extremely knowledgeable and had fun. I ordered the beef brisket and my wife got the scallops. We were both very impressed with the taste. I actually felt that the beef brisket was one of the best that I've ever had and we've eaten all over the country. I kept telling my wife that it was the best I've ever had. After dinner, our server brought a slice of some sort of lemon cake out for my birthday. I can't remember exactly what it was but it was great! From the atmosphere to the service to the food, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to family and friends. The Cheshire and Boundary do a great job of training their staff. The entire experience was great including the guys that did the valet parking. I'm glad we selected this spot for my birthday. We'll definitely be back.

Absolutely adored this place. It's amazing for decor and general atmosphere. We got there 10 minutes before they opened and they were kind enough to seat us and serve us immediately. The service was great and the food surprised me. We had a hard time choosing between a number of delicious sounding dishes, so we each ordered one of those dishes and took a bite of everything. I think my own meal surprised me the most. I ordered what could have been a run of the mill Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. But it was better than every other similar chicken sandwich I've ever had (and that's saying something). Very, very good. I'd absolutely go back.

What a completely hidden gem!! We loved our visit there. The food was amazing. We loved the scallops, which were perfectly prepared and served with unique and delicious sides. The macaroni and cheese was perfect, creamy and rich with a great salty tang. Wide variety of cocktail options and the bartender was incredibly kind, personable, and knowledgeable. We can't wait to go back.

#alcohol The drink selection is amazing. I happened to try a new seasonal blend, it was freaking delicious. Their fries are some of the best I've had, we personally know the owner, great guy, great staff. sometimes they have live music. Somewhat pricey, but worth every cent. I would recommend it as a place to eat on special occasions, or even the weekends.

I booked a Christmas dinner with some friends. When we drove up, I saw a valet sign, it turns out that it is complimentary which was really great - this really helps with wet weather. The space is beautiful. It looks pretty similar to the former "The Restaurant" but with overall hipper ambiance. When we got it, my friends were already seated at our table, a wonderful, heavy round table near the kitchen. There were a lot of people there, the fireplace was going and it was an excellent setting. The menu consists of mainly elevated comfort food. They have some salads but the good stuff is all fairly gluttonous. Our server was really excellent, we didn't wait for anything. The food was really good, we all ordered some different things and everyone was happy with their meal. It is a beautiful space, great food, and service, and I look forward to going back. Apart from a large gathering – some of yah list items are: Pros: 1) Happy Hour Specials 4-6pm 2) Poutine. It comes with a Fried Egg! And very large to share 3) Oyster Rockefeller - love the creamy kale 4) Mac n. Cheese Side 5) Cocktails Overall, they have a solid selection of cocktails, beer and wine. If you like Basso then give Boundary a try on your next outing.

Thanksgiving dinner was amazing. First the atmosphere was lovely. The lights were dim which allow the dinner to feel very intimate. The buffet tables were laid out perfectly: there was one main buffet area and four other tables with cheeses, meats, seafood, and all kinds of desserts. Secondly, the service was amazing. Upon being seated, our waitress came over to our table immediately with water and to take our drink orders, which was included with the meal. Anytime we finished a plate or needed drink refills, it was done before we could even ask. My two children enjoyed every bit of the food, especially because of the variety. This was my first time ever going out for Thanksgiving, which may now become a new tradition.

I drove down to the Boind’ry last night ( June 10, 2022 ) for drinks and dinner and a great time because it’s not only an after work businessman v bar but a mix of wealthy and not so wealthy clientele and sadly it was closed with 4 or 5 guys sitting in the bar talking who I am assuming we’re the owners. Come on guys do NOT shut Boundry down forever because I can tell you better that anyone what made your restaurant / bar the “it spot” for so many years and standing room only most nights in the bar….it was the super cool bartenders like Bruce doing magic tricks and all the other cool bartenders and attractive wait staff that poured great drinks and bartenders were all very entertaining! A bartender can either make or break a bar environment! Any problems of lost customers can be directly attributed to losing colorful charismatic bartenders so hire some great bartenders and open again and word will spread like wildfire and the line of crowds will be down the block again waiting to get in! Some restaurants have free hors d’oeuvres or shrimp or taco bar but none of that matters! What does matter is your bartenders! Years ago at TGI Friday on Ellison Place they had the best bartenders in town doing juggling tricks with bottles the bartenders nickname was Psycho! Lol Wonderful memories … same for Boundry! So stop obsessing over the menu and get the best bartenders and friendliest and funny and attractive bartenders possible and the Biundry will be the now “it spot” again for another 20 years!

Sometimes getting a seat at one of the many great Clayton locations for lunch can be challenging. After going past 3 that had lines out the door, we ended up giving brunch at Boundary a try. It was outstanding. Great location and the food was definitely a hit. I had the ricotta buttermilk pancakes and really wanted more. Live jazz music completed what was a great visit. We ended up going back 2 weeks later without even trying anywhere else as the food was that good. And the mimosa and Bloody Mary bars are almost worth it by themselves.

I want to start by saying before we went here for the first time, I had some doubts due to the mixed reviews but it was definitely a great experience and we'll likely be back for future celebrations! Food was delicious. Service was great. Great beer and wine selection. Yeah it's a little on the pricey side, but definitely worth it! the atmosphere is relaxed and romantic and the perfect place to celebrate a special event!
