We included Gooey Louie mini gooey butter cakes in our wedding welcome bags for our out of town guests, who went crazy for them! We loved how these were individually wrapped with a spoon and card explaining the significance of gooey butter cake to St. Louis. After a custom cookie order cancelled on us last minute during the week of our wedding, it was such a happy accident that we came across this shop. Within 30 minutes, they had 60 of these waiting for us with a smile. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun, St. Louis treat.

I contacted Gooey Louie for mini cakes to add to our welcome wedding bags since they are delicious and have adorable packaging. I was grateful to learn that they could also put together the entire welcome bag! Debbie, the owner was so easy to work with and more than willing to utilize my suggestions. I was thrilled that she created a personalized label with the bride and groom’s name along with the St Louis arch to match our color scheme. This one stop shopping was a huge help to me in planning the wedding, especially since I live out of town. I was excited to include all Missouri made or St Louis themed products. Debbie even delivered the completed beautiful bags directly to the hotel where are guests we’re staying. Everyone loved them! I stopped at the new store today and was happy to see Debbie there, as friendly as always. The place is adorable and offers lots of fun gift and food items. It’s obvious she is passionate about what she does and goes above and beyond to exceed expectations. I would absolutely recommend Gooey Louie for any gift or event that you want to make memorable!!

Picked up three cakes (regular, blueberry, and chocolate chip). They were hands down the best I’ve had and it was the perfect treat for family visiting from out of town. Highly recommend!

Had the pumpkin flavor for Thanksgiving and it was outstanding! The turtle flavor was also excellent. It was a pleasure meeting the owner, she went the extra mile for us. It’s a family operation, like two generations in the kitchen handcrafting cakes, which means they may run out occasionally, or be closed outside of normal hours, but to me it’s a small price to pay for a great product made locally.
