Sugo's. We arrived early and were told we would have to come back-restaurant didn't open until 5:00 (weeknight). Normally we would not return, but on this occasion we did and were pleasantly surprised. My husband and I are at an age where we enjoy ambience and good food; here you get both. I had spaghetti and meatballs (unique and delicious), and my husband enjoyed a risotto dish. The prices are reasonable. We will try them again in the future. Suggestion-Take down the curtains.
Food was just ok, loud environment. Very low maintenance, self pour your own water, lol. Would have been better if the server was more friendly/attentive.
The food is excellent!!! Service was good, not excptional but still good. If for nothing else go for the lasagna.
Pizza for $10?. It's more of a flat bread which is what I prefer and it was enough to share with another person. The great thing is you can spend more money on wine and splurge on a $16 glass. plan on going next door to Via Vino before or after. It's a great evening.
The menu is a great mix of contemporary and Italian favorites. Little touches like roasted garlic cloves in the Alfredo jazz up the perennial Italian stand-bys. Get the Caeser salad too. It's the best I've had.
Sweet and simple. Love this place for friends and with family! Finally an unpretentious place in the Frontenac area - affordable prices too, did I mention great food!! Highly recommend!
JUST OK. Our food was good, we had pasta dishes, medium portions and tasty. The appetizer menu was minimal, as well as, the dessert menu. In fact the menu is fairly limited in general. The decor is nice for a possible lunch not at inviting for dinner. Pricing is very reasonable.
Love this place. First of all.. you gotta love italian food and wine. If you like Italian food and wine this is one of my favorite places to eat. Its is perfect for a simple dinner out with your husband that won't break the bank. Everything I have had is excellent. Love the Eggplant Parmigian even though it is an appetizer it is easily enough food for dinner. I am a bigger fan of the pasta than the pizzas. The wine is pricey but excellent so check before you order a glass. I made the mistake of ordering the house Merlot. They don't have a house merlot so instead poured me a $9.00 glass of Merlot. The house wine runs aorund $6.00 a glass. I might have chosen something other than Merlot had I known. Other than that it has great food and at great price with a good atmosphere and service.
Fantastic. We go to Sugo's weekly and sometimes two and three times a week. It has gotten REALLY popular so sometimes there is a wait, but the food is worth it. The prices are unbelievably low, the atmosphere is lively, the staff is VERY friendly and helpful. We have never had slow service or bad food.
Great dining experience! We haven’t been to Sugos for a bit and we loved walking in to the expanded space. The food is still as delicious as ever. The bread appetizer is soft and yummy and the main course was awesome. We were basic with spaghetti and meatballs but you can’t go wrong with a classic. We also had a chicken pizza. I wished for a little more sauce but the flavor was good. All in all, we will be back, especially to take advantage of the cute outside dining available!
The restaurant was cozy and tastefully decorated. Food was exceptional. The portions were large enough to share. The service was excellent and friendly. We left with a bag of leftovers. My husband ordered the spaghetti that came with two baseball sized meatballs. My lasagna was the largest I have ever seen. Excellent restaurant 👌.
This is our go-to spot for good casual Italian. Food is always good and service is fast and friendly. Lasagna is big enough to serve two people
First time dinner at tge Frontenac location this evening. My Wife and I enjoyed it very much. Great ambience, great service, food was excellent. We started with the house salad, with Chicken Picatta and Spedini. Both large portions and very flavorful. The picatta sauce was buttery, lemony and full of capers as you would hope to see.
The only ding were the toasted raviolis. They were toasted to perfection but had little stuffing and they were dry, take a pass on these. Otherwise, I would certainly add Suggs to your list of favorites!
Had dinner there last night. My wife ordered the Tutto Mare. Unfortunately, the only seafood in it was shrimp. It was supposed to have clams and crab as well, but did not. I think they should have told us they were out of basic ingredients. First time there..first impressions are important.
I appreciate the quick response to my review. I understand that restaurants can be out of ingredients. However, when you are out of 2 of the 3 primary ingredients, it is unacceptable to serve the entree’. It’s not Tutto Mare when you only have shrimp. We should have been told that the entree’ was unavailable and offered a different choice.
Very good. Was impressed with the attention to detail. Mmy friend got the bruchetta and I had the daily special risotto; chicken with leeks and corn.
Will be back!
I have been here a few times and the food is always great, people are friendly, and for a week day lunch it is a nice environment
Delicious food at a reasonable price! Pizza, pasta, and salads are great. Hadn't been here in a while so met some girlfriends and we sat on the patio which is nice. Try the Tutto mare, it's excellent!
Went to a Birthday party there. Food was delicious.
This is our second year at Sugos for New Year's Eve. Party of eight, no problem. Attentive, knowledge courteous service. All food was hot - warm plates made a difference. We had a hot, fennel sausage pasta with basil. Pretty standard dish yet we'll prepared. The specials actually sounded special and our dining partners were happy with their fish and chicken specials. The pizza looked great, but I would eat bar pizza and love it! The prices are also very reasonable. Go here :)
