This is my second time visiting the Sweetie Pies restaurants. My first time was at the Mangrove location. All I can say is the food is still really really good! This time I had the fried chicken, cornbread, cornbread dressing and corn. I also had her raspberry sweet tea. The tea is soooo good. The food is just true home cooked food. The location is nice but there were some employees who weren't smiling and made the experience not superb. The mangrove location is better because they have live music and everyone is overly friendly there!

Good but overpriced. I thought the food was good standard southern "soul" food but a bit overpriced. Same meals at most soul food restaurants would cost a 1/3 less but still a treat.

Food is awesome, service is awesome but please remove the hundreds of laser/ink-jet printed signs you have all over! Before getting to the food line I read about 30 signs telling me what to do and what not to do. Not even a public school cafeteria has this many signs. I probably wont return to this location just because of that.

Verrrryyy Satisfied!!. I was in St. Louis for a church conference on October 27-29, 2013. I was in the Upper Crust on 10/27/13 around 5pm with a friend of mine. First, the line was long, but moved at a steady pace. We didn't have a long wait to get our food. Secondly, we saw Ms. Robbie and her sister, but we did not want to disturb them as they looked very busy so we just delighted in being able to see her in person. Third, the food was TO DIE FOR! I had three BIG fried chicken wings, mac and cheese, turnip greens, cornbread dressing, sweet potatoes, and peach cobbler. The only thing that I did not care for was the cobbler (I prefer my mom's cobbler...Sorry Ms. Robbie). Our waiter was just wonderful and attentive. They carry your trays to your table for you! Everybody was friendly and the next time I am in St. Louis, I am going to try the Baked Turkey Wings or the Pork Chops. I really enjoyed my food and because they give such generous portions, I was able to carry the leftovers back to my hotel room. My $20 was well spent!

I traveled 824 miles to dine at Sweetie Pies. I was a little star struck when I walked in but after I gathered my composure I didn't know how things worked so I asked Charles who walked right passed me the first time while I was I awe. He explained that we ordered and paid for our food first then our waiter would take our trays to our tables. I ordered fried chicken (a bit too salty for my taste) Potato Salad (a bit too sweet for my taste) Macaroni and Cheese (the bomb) with rice and gravy (average). I ordered the sweet tea which was again average my meal totaled to about $15 and the customer service aside from Charles just walking pass us with no greeting in the beginning was superior. Greg our waiter was good the staff sung happy birthday to me then Charles requested that the live entertainment sing to me also. Oh I forgot they had live entertainment during the day. Everyone was more than happy to pose for pictures with me. I will return again while I'm in STL but will probably never come back once I leave.

We were pleasantly surprised at how clean the establishment was. The food was kind of bland but nothing a little salt and hot sauce couldn't cure. The most important thing to me was the food wasn't heavy and greasy and the portions were just right. The staff was great and the owner actually fixed our plates and was nice enough to take photos with our party, that was cool of her. If I had a negative thing to say it would be; provide veterans with a discount on there meal. All in all awesome experience and I would recommend this soul food restaurant to others. Lastly, I see why Sweetie Pies have had the success and longevity it has (excellent service and food)!

Thus was a wonderful dining experience and I appreciated the good customer service during the post pendamic period i.e. short staffing. Our truck driver nephew was visiting, and I knew he would love eating a good soul food meal. The peach cobbler was the best.

Met Ms.Jan and chatted with her which was such a welcoming and unexpected surprise! She was just like she was on the show... down to earth and sweet as she can be! This is a true family restaurant and they make you feel so at home! The food was amazing and the service was the highlight of my day... even the security there was full of laughs and just down home love and friendliness! Best part of my business trip to St. Louis!

Great food, not so good customer service. Fried chicken, mac and cheese, yams and corn bread were the best. I know we got there 20 mins before they closed but there was no need to be so nasty. They are the ones who said we could still come in and order so why the nastiest. There was one lady, Phyllis, who was amazing. She apologized and said "honey what y'all want". Customer service, remember, goes a long way. I can now check it off my bucket list.

We tried the baked chicken, fried catfish, Mac n Cheese, cabbage, fried chicken wing and peach cobbler. THE MAC & CHEESE OMG SOOO FREAKING GOOD The Catfish was 🔥🔥🔥 it surprisingly was my favorite, then the Mac. They cook their cabbage with green pepper and I didn't realize it so it wasn't a favorite. That peach cobbler with the layers of crust was so flaky and delicious and I think I tasted maybe bourbon-y type of sauce in there IDK but it was delicious. The gravy on the baked chicken was everything We were a little shocked to find out one chicken wing was $4.10 but we decided it was definitely worth it The cornbread is just that it's baked in a big pan kind of cake style and in case you're wondering if there are no whole kernels of corn in it.

Amazing! Best fried chicken that didn't come out of my grandma's skillet. The sides are tasty and generous. Now that I've been here, I'll go out of my way to eat here when I'm in town.

The food was incredible I wanted to order everything on the menu ! This reminds me of meals I ate growing up from my grandma, mom and aunts ! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting St. Louis ❤️❤️🙌🏽🙌🏽

The food was great. The pear cobbler was my favorite part of my meal. The food was fresh and the staff were friendly. Growing up in the south the sides took be back toy childhood. As if my grandmother was in the back cooking. I would definitely recommend you visit if you like good food.

I've been wanting to come to Sweetie Pie's since the debut of their Show on Oprah's OWN Channel. So this was My first experience and Lawd Have Mercy. It was so worth the wait. This restaurant is All That and So Much More. Not only were The Staff on Point with All Smiles and a Southern Hospitality that was impeccable. Now the food. OMG!! TOO DELISH. Everything was amazing. The chicken wings were the biggest fried wings I ever seen. And the seasoning were spot on. The Mac n Cheese was sooo cheesy. The Southern Cooking at this St.Louis Hot Spot will remind U of Sunday Dinners at Ur Grandma's. Miss Robbie Keep Doing Your Thing. Love U and Thanx For The Southern Charm.
