Great food chicken, pulled pork, brisket the sides are amazing 🤩. Most of all was service and how fast and HOT the food comes out.

It was a great experience for our first time going there! Great food, excellent and fast service! Gotta try the fried chicken skins which I don’t see in the available menu options below. Highly recommend!

This place is so dependable. The wait staff was very attentive, kind, and funny. Our food was brought out quickly and was quite tasty. I highly recommend the fried jalapeño + cheddar bologna sandwich. Everything I've had here has been great though!

The brisket had a good smoky flavor. I liked the hot bbq sauce flavor. The hush puppies were large and the butter was sweet. It was a little on the pricy side but a good place to try out.

The atmosphere in this place is so cool. Love that it is a repurposed old building. Staff is friendly and professional. Lots of great choices on the menu. I love the pulled pork sandwich and pit beans. You can never go wrong going here for lunch or dinner.

Good place to eat. The service was so fast and the food was good. I've only been to the brick and mortar location once and I ordered off of doordash once, both times the food was good. Parking behind and street parking available. Bathroom inside. Outdoor eating area.

This place has been on my list to try in St. Louis for a while and so I was really excited to come here. Of the 3 locations near me, I picked this one because it seemed like it would have the most available parking and on a Tuesday night, finding a parking spot was no issue. Overall, we had a very good experience here. The restaurant space is cozy, but I felt like we had our space and privacy. The service was fast and friendly. As for the food, there were some things I thought were great and some things I didn't like as much, but I wanted to try a variety of things knowing that some of them may not totally fit my personal taste preferences. The portions are generous and most of the things I didn't finish were because I was pretty full and I didn't love them enough to want to stuff myself. The beef brisket (lean) was delicious. It was the best meat that I got and I ate all of it and would have eaten more if I had it. The ribs were good, but didn't knock my socks off. You do get a lot of ribs. The third meat I got was the fried bologna, which I was glad that I ordered to try it, but something about the jalapeño cheddar made me not want to eat all of it once I was getting full. As for the sides, the white cheddar cracker mac was the best and I liked it more with every bite. The creamed corn, however, was good, but kind of resembled a corn chowder a little more than creamed corn and the flavor was a little off by my taste. We also got the fried chicken skins, which were good, but one order was plenty for the four of us to share. I also liked the popover. Overall, I am very satisfied with my visit and I would encourage people considering it to come and try it. I am confident that anyone could find a meal here they would really enjoy. There are some things I would be ordering again other things I wouldn't and would try something else. Without question I rate this restaurant above a 4, but I'm not sure my visit warranted a perfect 5. But you should come and try it for yourself!

Wedding Catering Review: If you’re getting married, choose Salt & Smoke to cater your wedding!! Their food is delicious, all of our guests were raving about the quality and the taste. Sometimes when you eat food that is catered, the quality can diminish compared to the restaurant, however this was just as good!!! The staff were incredible, the set up was smooth, and the prices were reasonable (compared to other wedding caterers we talked to). They also were able to get a vegan/vegetarian option for our guests which was incredible. 10/10 would recommend!!
