Awesome historic space, nice festive holiday music and decor. THE REAL DEAL when it comes to delis. Great breakfast sandwiches at fair prices. Super nice owners too! If your downtown hotel charges for breakfast, DEFINITELY come here instead 😋

My family and I came here the day before Thanksgiving and got an early lunch before heading out to do some site seeing. The staff was friendly and engaging, patiently waiting and answering all our questions. One of the employees said their favorite sandwich was the Philly cheesesteak but recommended the French Dip since it was cold and the aus jus would feel exceptionally nice. I went with that and subbed the Swiss for provolone. The sandwich was incredible. It wasn't over the top or flashy. It was your basic French dip, but the simplicity was executed marvelously. Every bite was the best bite. My wife had the Mediterranean wrap which she enjoyed thoroughly, and my kids had a salad and basic turkey sandwich. The building is older and the interior is more for sit down, eat and leave which is fine. It's a deli so I understand. All in all, I'd definitely come back. Everything was a delight and enjoyable. The employees were friendly, happy, and professional. This is definitely a place to grab a quick bite.

Great selections to choose from and the sandwiches were really good. Unfortunately only 3 stars for service because my wife's sandwiches was made wrong. They put on green peppers which were not requested and left off one ingredient she did want. The problem was corrected after we mentioned it.

Attended the Progressive National Baptist Convention Aug. 6-9. Found this wonderful gem and fell in love with the ambience and the perfect location to the Hyatt. The service was friendly, speedy and very kind. The food was exceptionally great. There were 8 of us and each one had nothing but lucious comments. Pickles was a HIT!

Great spot for breakfast! My husband devoured the biscuits & gravy (added an over easy egg day two) I opted for a breakfast pita day one and made my own egg sandwich day two (great gluten free bread) Found both to be yummy! The staff is friendly, attentive & helpful with local information. Latte & coffee were spot on. Our plans didn’t allow trying lunch - but the lunch menu looked great too. We stayed at the Pennywell - Pickles is a gem of a deli just around the corner! 😁

My son and I had never been there before but we went to have breakfast with my uncle for his birthday. It was great! I had the breakfast pita wrap and my son had the Rise’n’Shine Reuben. Delicious and great service!

Has the best Italian sandwich in the City. Good sides too. Owner/Managers are active and talkative, setting the example for other employees. Employees seem happy. Their rotating items (gumbos, chilis, etc) are nice to mix it up a bit too. Has outdoor seating for nice days, walking distance to the Arch grounds.

Delish. Reuben, a make your own, the gyro, both potato salads, all fantastic. But I was most excited for the Route 11 chips! We visited their factory in Virginia and just the best chips from the nicest people. Try as many as you can, especially the dill pickle and the absolutely perfect BBQ.

Stayed at the Hyatt for a conference, ate here the first morning, then every morning after that. Astounding! The breakfast Ruben was out of this world. I ordered an extra the last day to take home. Each day I had something different and none disappointed.
