If you didn’t know this is one of St. Louis best places to eat. The chef is serious about his craft and he will come tell you about the details that make him excited. There’s love in this food.

My husband and I had dinner at the Farmhaus in St. Louis. I called first to see what they were serving. It occupies a storefront in a neighborhood much like where I lived as a kid. It was nostalgic. We ordered the chef’s tasting menu. The tasting menu is reasonably priced at $75. There was an optional wine pairing supplement. We didn’t choose that option. We started with an interesting small cheese plate; an emulsified sharp cheese and fresh green peas, lavosh, and an in-house made coppa. 😋 The tasting menu included halibut and sirloin. The first course was white asparagus with morel butter sauce. 😋 The second was halibut, crusty on the outside and flaky inside. The chef plated the fish atop slices of in-house-made knockwurst, a small portion of rich spoon bread, and green asparagus, all topped with a buttery hot sauce. Though it doesn't sound like the ingredients go together, the combination was tasty. The sirloin was a bit too chewy. But by then, I was full and well-satisfied with the meal. It was delicious. ❤️ I’m not a fan of meat in general, so consider that. Even so, I don't think one meat cut diminished the meal. All that said, we want to eat at Farmhaus again. The gracious host doubled as a server and described the dishes in mouth-watering details that included sourcing the ingredients. Many thanks to my brother for suggesting this place.

My husband and I both had the chef’s prefixe for his birthday dinner this evening; he enjoyed the wine pairings. We thought the three plates were very good, red snapper being most exceptional. Our server was such a sweet girl, and all staff were so kind and enthusiastic! Plates were coursed out appropriately time-wise.

I love the flavor of the ingredients because they were very fresh. The cheesy focaccia was good it tasted like sourdough. The Ravioli was perfectly done. I got a Bolognese and the tomato 🍅 sauce was made from the scratch and not the can sauce, so it was worth it. Perfect size. The desserts 🎂🍪 we picked was s cake and a chocolate 🍫 mousse with a very nice whip cream. All of it was very tasty. A good option if you want to go out with your partner.

Went for my second time: deliciously beautiful and amazing service! I got the pre-fixe meal which had butternut squash pasta, scallops over a parsnip purée, and a tender, juicy pork over sweet potatoes and turnips. Cant wait to come here another time!

Our experience tonight at Farmhaus was exceptional. We were a party of 6 with a toddler. The toddler was having a little issue and we were considering giving up and heading back home. The manager Curt was so accommodating and did whatever he could to help our little guy get past his little tantrum. Our waitress Lindsey and helper Britney were amazing at making things go smoothly. On top of all this exceptional service was wonderful food. The beef carpaccio, beef empanada, seafood crudo and every dish was just right. Our sincere thanks to Curr, Lindsey and Brittney for making us feel at home. Thank you!

Yet another stop on the STL Top 100 2022, and another that has failed to disappoint! We made a reservation via phone a few days before, and had no problem getting in. The bar area has a handful of tables as well as bar seating. The main dining area has a few more tables, and the decor is quite spartan. I'd expected a bit more ambiance, but it wasn't awful. Farmhaus is no kidding farm to table, yet the prices are still more than reasonable. The summer salad was very well balanced, consisting of an array of flavors. The ribeye was massive, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor; the green beans and mashed sweet/russet potatoes were perfection as well. The red snapper and polenta was good, but didn't have the same 'wow' (or price) factor as the ribeye. This place has been on the Top 100 for at least a couple years, and it's no wonder why.

Our first time at Farmhaus happened to be on a night that a major storm moved through that knocked out the power. We were told upfront that the menu would be limited since the chefs had to move the kitchen to the patio and were cooking everything on a grill, but if we were up for an adventure, so were they. And I'm so glad we opted to stay. We dined by candlelight and I had maybe the best meal of my life. My steak was perfect. Easily the best steak I have had in years. And the green beans!! My God, who raves about green beans? I barely even eat them normally, but THESE were a good as the steak, maybe better. I can only imagine how amazing everything would be if the chef had full use of the kitchen. Our server Aidryann was great, always making sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!! Sorry, no photos. I was too busy enjoying my food.

Absolutely AMAZING! Such sweet service, with genuinely nice people. Food was stunning, words cannot express the delicious meal we just had. I highly recommend getting the Butternut Squash Agnolotti and Pierogies! (PS: Having a couple of glasses, ordering 4 meals, and dessert; the check was much lower than expected from the phenomenal meal)

It's a bit tight, the only non-alcoholic drink I saw was water, and the portions a bit small. That said. GREAT place. The food was excellent. Great service. I will visit this restaurant again!
