Had pre-birthday lunch with a friend here. She was having trouble finding parking, so I ordered a coffee--the best coffee I've had in St. Louis! Better than a lot of coffeeshops. I probably had too much by the end of our visit, lol. She ordered the pasta con broccoli when she arrived, and I ordered the veal parmigiana. I'd had veal once, six years ago, and thought it seemed the perfect dish for a celebration. We also split the appetizer platter. There was bread and butter, salads, sides, and our main courses! We both took home leftovers. Service was fantastic and they were patient with us visiting and opening gifts. I loved the classy, nostalgic feel and will certainly return.

Full disclosure: Pietro's has been a family favorite for decades. Our family has used this restaurant for family gatherings (rented rooms). The food (Italian influenced) is always good. If you choose to eat here for a meal, make reservations as this place is very popular with the locals and especially the expatriates missing home.

I ordered Pasta Primavera, which was filled with veggies and was served hot. Unfortunately, the sauce was somewhat bland. I was expecting a stronger garlic taste. The bread is very tasty and the iced tea was delicious. I love that they give you a small jug to refill the tea. The service was good. I like the stain glass decor.

Another Saturday night and we just wanted drinks and appetizers but not just bar food (nothing wrong with that just not tonight). We headed to Pietro’s knowing they would be busy. They were hopping but a table was open at the bar, which was exactly what we were looking for. You can actually get your whole meal served in the bar if you like! Such a cool dining experience. Highly recommended! The drinks are old school healthy pours and very reasonably priced! The appetizers were fantastic! Best zucchini ever! Fantastic mozzarella triangles. My friend swears that nothing else should be call garlic cheese bread after having it here. Prices are reasonable and the service is quick and friendly! It’s been around a long time for a good reason: quality, price and service! You will not be disappointed!!!

Wonderful food , great wait staff. Fast delivery of items to the table. First rate. Will return many times. Watson in South Saint Louis. EDIT: We returned a year later for dinner. The food excellent. The wait staff superb! Wonderful experience. We did have to wait inside the facility while a person with mobility issues struggled out the side door. This was not the first time I noticed someone having a problem getting into the restaurant, so I checked the other entrance. There IS a ramp at the front door. So if you wish to have a no step entry, go to the front to enter.

A new favorite restaurant! Pietro’s has a large menu with something for everyone. Lots and lots of options from pasta to meat and seafood dishes. Bread is at the table. The spinach bell appetizer is very good. All of our pasta dishes were phenomenal. The service was excellent and the restaurant has a very nice interior. Can’t wait to go again!
