Enjoyed a great meal in their back courtyard. The drinks were tasty and strong, the shepherd's pie a good combination of meats and veg and the salmon and crab crumble perfectly prepared. We ended the meal with banoffee bread pudding which was a delicious combination of banana, toffee, chocolate and caramel.
The server was friendly and engaging and we'll definitely make this restaurant a regular when coming to the Gaslight Theater.
Hands down, my new favorite restaurant in St. Louis! Ordered a 90 shilling beer with my bangers and mash and could not have enjoyed my meal more. The wife had the fish and chips with some onion soup and said it was the best she'd had in a very long time. Highly recommended, if the weather is nice, the garden patio out back has a fantastic ambiance.
Amazing. Loved the atmosphere and the food. The waiter was present when needed and otherwise scarce. The drinks, wow, honestly the best old fashioned I have ever had. Smooth does not do it justice. The scotch egg was good, not over powering with fennel. My husband loved the Shepard's pie, his mother is British so it is his comfort food. I had the salmon, very good. We will be back.
Excellent food to go with the amazing setting of the place. The staff is very knowledgeable for whatever cocktail you want. Definitely give the lamb shank a try. Meat literally falls apart in your mouth.
This was the perfect spot for a cozy date night! The drinks were delicious and the highland gathering was the perfect sampling to get a feel for what the restaurant had to offer. The fish and chips (upgrade to the truffle fries - trust me) was amazing and the shepherds pie was exactly the comfort food I was looking for. I can't wait to go back and try the patio!
Our new favorite place! Everything was top notch!
Food was average this last time — it’s usually a little better. Great flavors but slightly overdressed salad and the fish and chips were a little greasy — oil wasn’t hot enough when it went in. Tikka masala wasn’t anything to write home about. Thursday nights they have great music from Ken McKenna.
This place has amazing food, drinks and service!
We ordered New York Strip steak (which was a little bit over cooked but it was still so yummy!)
My favorite was their banoffee banana pudding. 🤤🤤 it was a little crispy on the outside and moist inside..
We also ordered scotch eggs and I wish there were more per serving!
I am planning to come back soon! ❣️
Great service by Gabe. Chicken dinner with gnocchi was fantastic. The chicken was so tender and flavorful. The gnocchi was wonderfully prepared. The sampler platter was great. Yummy cocktails too. Beautiful night to sit outside on the back porch. Will return for sure.

Rum Toddy will cure what ails ya!
Like it so much we got an apartment nearby!
Still as good as it gets! If you're near the Central West End or Forrest Park, or downtown STL,
you'll have to stop by this establishment for new
* custom drinks every month &
* new food menus every month,
yet, we still get the Scotch egg (take one or 2 home for tomorrow, you'll love it!!) Still 5 stars.
Oh, yeah, the service is impeccable!!
Best in STL!!
