Love it!. Pretty much the best atmosphere in st louis! i love this place!
English pub feel. Great, great wings. Seriously, try them. Wine list is very good. It's the type of place that you can watch the game or have a conversation with friends or both.
Grey pub atmosphere! Lounge chairs, fireplace, hunting paraphernalia on the walls -- loved it. My burger was delicious, right down to the individual bottles of condiments. The fruit and salads were good an as advertised. The beer was pricey.
One of my favorite places to meet for a quiet drink is Fox and Hounds Tavern at the Cheshire Inn. It’s been around forever and still has not lost the charm of a tiny pub you discovered that is dark, mysterious and strangely comforting. Grab a pint, a plate of chips and enjoy! 😊
Really nice pub atmosphere; excellent bartender; super fish and chips. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommend this place.
I REALLY love the cozy tavern feel. The drinks were just okay, but the atmosphere, service, and food were all really good, so this still gets 5 stars. We got fish and chips and Shepard's pie.
If you would like an affordable, relaxing true British style pub, this is your place! The bar-tender is a scotch enthusiast and respected my budget while finding delectable scotch! Not a scotch person? There are also a variety of complex cocktails and beer! I love how this place doesn't have tvs, instead it offers chess boards, leather couches, and conversation. The food was lovely, authentically british, and well flavored. An amazing and relaxing night out!
Great Bangers and Mash. The Oatmeal Stout was excellent and well. Wonderful old pub atmosphere.
Cozy. Wonderful tavern with lots of atmosphere and charm. Feels like rustic England. Dimly lit room. Dark wood, oil paintings, and taxidermy with a homey hearth. Music was a much-appreciated blend of classic tunes, post-punk, and other goodness: Beatles, Motorhead, The Cure, Joy Division, The Smiths, Radiohead, etc. Local brews on tap from Heavy Riff, Civil Life, and others. Excellent location for a fireside conversation with friends.
This tiny British themed bar is located just inside the entrance to the Cheshire Hotel. My wife and I happened to stop in on a Saturday night and it was full of people. A fine 3 piece jazz band was playing in the far end of the room. We happened to get a small 2 person booth in the back but we were lucky because space was limited that night. The room is dark and cozy and provided an interesting backdrop for a drink. Cocktails, wine, and beer are all available. Limited food menu options, mostly pub fare.
Unique, old-world moody vibe with top-notch drinks. It feels like you are in a speakeasy tavern in 'Downton Abbey'. A whimsical place in the middle of St Louis.
Service was quick, friendly, and easy. Fantastic spot for cold winter nights by the fire
Great little hotel bar. Very small. Excellent service.
I really like the dark lounge feel of this place. Beautiful woodwork and atmosphere. Feels like you are stepping into another place in time.
