Wow they were busy when I visited this landmark family business in July. I’m sorry it took so long to review. The staff were friendly and it was like being helped by a family member. That great vibe of being at home in the neighborhood. The selection was amazing and delicious.
An Institution. Their pizza is the best that I've ever eaten in the state of Michigan, the subs are great (the sharp provolone and prosciutto rules), the baked goods, the cannoli, my God, their pizza dough... I love you Bommarito's.
I like this place. Great subs - Every time we've ordered a party sub it's been a hit. The pizza is pretty good. especially for the price. I will say one time I bought a pie and it seemed like it wasn't cooked or something and we tried throwing it in the oven, but it didn't help. I'm assuming it was a fluke, because I've heard great things about their desserts and donuts from friends. They also have a decent size selection of wines and other Italian grocery items. I would recommend this place.
Nice Surprise in SCS!. Great turkey subs (the buns are awesome!) and their cinnamon rolls are to die for. Everything always seems fresh and the staff is friendly.
It's nice to support a local, family-owned business as well.
Fresh Tasty Subs. You gotta get a "Bommar" sub. All the ingredients are so fresh and tasty. Great to grab to go if you're going on a boat ride on lake St. Clair or for a picnic in the park.
Friendly staff and fresh & delicious food keep me coming! If only they were open late at night! Cannolis are filled to order. The pizza is good, the sfinguini (spelling) is awesome. They have the best lemon ice and subs I've EVER had anywhere!

A classic Italian bakery....... .....that also has one the best subs in town.........timeless ....
Our "go to" bakery. We've been purchasing bread, rolls, sub sandwiches, pizza and wine regularly for almost 20 years. Bommarito baked goods are just that good. If I'm grilling hamburgers or sausage, the meat must be nestled in rolls from this shop.
They offer two sized subs--the regular, which is ample, believe me; and the Sub Buster, with extra meats and cheeses. At a cost of $5.99 for the SB, you'll have a meal you just might have to share because of it's sheer size.
Bommarito also has a vast selection of local, national and international wines. A vast selection. As a special service to customers, Eric, the on-site sommelier, can offer wine pairings for any meal and many price points.
