Without a doubt, best roasts in town by far. My favorite roaster in Sacto.
From being greeted when we walked in the door to being wished a good day when we left, this place was a great experience. We tried the flat white and the nitro coffee and shared a cowboy cookie, all excellent. The decor is modern industrial and well thought out. Think this will become a fave!
Chocolate Fish is my daughter and I favorite place to relax! We don't go as often as we would like to but every time we go, they always remember us. Great place to be!
Amazing coffee, neat little shop with some cool gift, and a decent selection of pastries this is one of my new coffee spots for sure! They have private parking which is nice. The only possible downside I can see is that it gets noisy if you come during peak times so if youāre looking for a quiet coffee shop that might be a hold up. But otherwise a wonderful spot, love the Nitro Cold Brew!
my new favorite coffee hangout...great, friendly staff...lots of tables...big windows...lovely light...delicious coffee...what is there not to like?!
Best coffee in town. love their Nitro for a great charge, but great coffee and excellent customer care.
Nice little coffeehouse. Found it by chance. Staff friendly and helpful.
Great mochas, pastries, location!
I enjoy sitting outside and so does my puppy. Free doggie treats too!
I visited Sacramento about four years ago. I still crave the delicious espresso! For Christmas my brother bought me two bags of Chocolate Fish beans!!! Love this place!
Best coffee in Sacramento! Great atmosphere, and the friendliest staff.
Enjoy my experience every time!
I saw the name of this coffee shop and I just had to check it out š. I love chocolate and coffee - so win-win here.
The place is very modern feeling with nice vista-like decorations on the walls. There is a huge coffee roasting machine which definitely adds a sense of where we are.
They have the standard set of drinks that one would expect in a coffee shop, they are quite good and have good attention to detail; nice latte art and a good coffee flavor.
There are a number of pastries on display, including actual chocolate fish as a homage to the name of the place. They have a number of types of toasts as well so this is a good place to enjoy a coffee and some other tasty food bite to start off the day.
There is plenty of seating both inside and outside, in fact the outside patio has a lot of character to it and looks very comfortable to sit with friends or a lover and enjoy a relaxing time sipping your favorite drink.
The service was excellent and the baristas were very friendly and accommodating. They had no problem with special requests that I had.
Iām the type of person who drinks my milk and sugar with a drop of coffee, so when I accidentally ordered a latte without sugar and was too shy to correct it, I really didnāt think Iād enjoy it. But wow, my entire perspective on coffee changed, it was amazing! This place has such delicious, high-quality coffee that even a sweet tooth like me would be able to drink it black and enjoy it. The one downside is that now that I know what coffee is capable of being, Starbucks coffee only tastes like disappointment
Visited Sunday afternoon and had a wonderful vanilla latte. A bit disappointed that they were out of pastries by that time we arrived as they still had a few hours left before closing. This is a very neat location offering barista classes and live coffee roasting.
Good coffee and the food choices were very tasty! Service was great! Nice location with out door seating.
Not only do they have some great coffee, but a wonderful atmosphere.
Small vibrant coffee shop offering decent selections of coffee, pastry, and light food. Indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of parking behind the building and on the street. One drawback was the lack of comfortable seating space to sit for a long time and enjoy reading or doing work. Steady stream of customers coming in during the one hour or so Sunday morning i was there.
If you are in Sacramento you have to make a stop here! Their avocado toast with the works is fantastic and their lattes really hit the spot. A friend of mine got their peanut butter and banana toast and loved it. I really had to stop myself from going back in to grab a second toast!
The name of this place is kinda odd.lol I canāt think of a reason why itās called chocolate fish. But, (Anything before ābutā doesnāt really matter), this place is AMAZING. Respect to all the coffee shops/cafes who serve little food options. I loved their fresh avocado toast. Having that on the menu is a game changer. Great coffee, interior is nice, clean and the staff is super friendly. You could see the roasting area and sacks of coffee inside. Nice little patio area as well. You earned my loyalty and five stars!! Iāll be back for more avocado toast and coffee :)
Iāve had nice hot coffee there, though today it was too light for me. I have had their iced americano twice ā I prefer a stronger espresso flavor, as theirs has been very watery both times. Would ask them to pour espresso directly over ice instead of adding water, milk, then ice. Ends up really watering down the espresso. Service was nice and offered a sample of hot coffee.
Great coffee where they roast all of their coffee beans in-house. I got the cappuccino with an extra shot, almond milk, and of course, a chocolate fish.
