The food was horrible. I ordered General Tao Chicken. Obviously it’s supposed to be spicy, it wasn’t at all. The sauce they used was so bad that I ate two pieces and threw out the rest and I hate wasting food. I also ordered fried dumplings. Obviously there should be a crisp to them (they’re fried), but these were literally crunchy. I ordered two egg rolls as well and they were ultra small and tasted a little off, but were at least edible. I also ordered fried rice. I travel all the time and eat a lot of different food from around the country and can honestly say that I have never eaten fried rice that was bright yellow. It too was at least edible, but since when is fried rice not even a little brown? I’m not trying to beat a dead horse here, but even the prepackaged soy sauce didn’t taste right and the spicy mustard was clumpy and it to didn’t taste right. I’m also not one to leave reviews, but this experience was so horrible for the amount of money that I spent that I couldn’t let this one go.

Really good hot fresh food! I called in my order and it was ready on my arrival. It's definitely better than any I have eaten lately. They also take covid precautions. Price point was in line with others. A generous helping and they didn't skimp on the meat on our broccoli and beef and pork fried rice. The fried rice is the best I have eaten. Definitely a go to place now!

Friendly, speedy service with always-fresh and hot orders when made to-go. Buffet has obviously been closed for some time but it's absolutely worth it to order and wait. Never more than a 15 minute wait after I call ahead.

Good food selection and good pricing. Those that complain about selection--there's 33 choices on the main bars and 16 on the salad/desert bar (not including the rice cooker and the 6 choices for salad toppings). I have gluten intolerance but have been able to find enough choices to leave me stuffed when I am finished. The two ladies that work there are hard working--always cleaning, getting beverages, working the register, snapping peas, busing tables and they are always upbeat. For those that say the price is too high, it is not and, you do know it is all you can eat, right? It is a great causal Asian buffet restaurant. It does a good business with take outs, deliveries, and dining-in customers.

We've been coming here for years. It's always great! Really welcoming and attentive service. The buffet, while always good, is really excellent during peak times because they are constantly refreshing the food. If you want anything that's running low or doesn't look fresh, just mention it and they will bring out a fresh batch, peak time or otherwise. Very accommodating. They'll remember you too after a couple visits, and when they see you come in they'll make sure you have your favorite dishes. They do call-in orders too and the portions on those are generous.

My husband and I have been coming here for a couple of years now. We actually decided to give it a try after reading a couple of Google reviews. When we 1st started we were the only ones there, so yes very sceptical! But to our surprise the food was amazing!
Since we've been going here we've watched as this once "secret" spot has become a very busy restaurant. The food is always good and you can't ask for better service.
The family that owns and works here make me feel like family every time.

As a college student, Z Buffet is incredible. Lunch buffets are $7.69, and Dinner buffets are $8.99. While their variety could be considered lacking when compared to larger buffets, the food in the buffet is done very well. A favorite of mine is the lo mein and Mongolian pork. If youre looking for great food, Z Buffet delivers effortlessly.

Well I made to the Race trac gas station across the street!!!!!!!! [if you know what I mean] It was horrible the worst buffet I have ever ate!! it was dirty the booths were ripped baddd!! A 1 out of 10!!

Terrible. Was not cheap enough to justify the awfulness of the food. Lo mein was spaghetti with cabbage. Everything tasted horrible and was probably loaded with msg. Fruit was rotten and cake had insects in the frosting. Avoid at all costs.

Friendly but flies plagued us the entire time we were there. Price was cheap...food was just ok. The only thing I enjoyed was the spicey chicken, but wouldn't go back to eat it.

The best honey chicken, the best pork dumpling with original sauce and the best sweet and sour chicken I have ever had. Friendly staff and clean place to eat. I go there at least once a month and I recommend to everybody I know!

Not all buffets are bad.. I like the fact that they also have a menu to order from. Very clean establishment unlike all the other Ruston Buffets. Great prices I recommend ordering off their lunch menu; very good and reasonably priced.

Eason. The best Chinese buffet you will find in Ruston for the price. For all of you out there if you happen in Z buffet you have to try 'spicy chicken ' is one of the best dish i ever eaten so far.
