The Dog House is a staple of Ruskin. The smells alone make the trip worth it and then when you grab that rib and it falls so clean off the bone... Brother, it's truly a thing of beauty. And I didn't even get to the taste of it all. If you haven't yet been then your BBQ life is not complete.

Fun place to bring family and friends. Gave it a 3/5 because nothing really stood out above ordinary as far as taste goes.
Unique atmosphere with fun staff and big menu! May come back, but will certainly be ordering different dishes. Except for those hush puppies! They are delicious.

Good BBQ and Seafood! Great, friendly customer service. During covid, it's nice to eat outside here. Seafood portions are acceptable, but not as big as the Fish House or other similar restaurants.

Aye Mates, tis a port of call should you be in for a variety of smoked delights. Tis the Brisket Philly with white sauce that I find so appealing this day.

I love the Dog House! The fish tacos there are fantastic! The fish dinner (fried Basa with yummy hush puppies and home made coleslaw) is also amazing! Their brisket, ribs and burgers are also delicious. If you have not tried their food yet, you really have to. This is the kind of hidden gem place that Anthony Bourdain used to discover and rave about on his show. The staff and, especially, the owners, Scott and Lisa, are really friendly and nice too. I usually take the food home and put it on fancy plates, have some wine and pretend I am in a gourmet restaurant (the food is as good as some of the best restaurants I have ever been to). I feel really lucky to have such great barbecue/seafood near my home.

This place is amazing!!!! The brisket philly is one of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten. The sweet potato fries with marshmallow dipping sauce 🤤🤤🤤🤤.. Today was my first time going and I will definitely be back.
