I was staying in the area on business and this little gem really hit the spot. Family owned and operated and it shows! The food is prepared just like they would at home. Great flavors and friendly service! I forgot to take a picture of my plate because I got busy eating when it came out, LOL! The barracho beans are wonderful and bold, but not to spicy. They're just right. Chips and salsa had great flavor and the chili on the enchiladas really hit the spot! After you're done with dinner, go next door to the Long Branch Saloon (it's the same owners 😉). I'll definitely stop back in the next time I'm in the area!

We came to Round Rock for donuts but then we wanted some tacos. I ordered 2 tacos and they were really filling. Chorizo is really good. Only down side is the salsa could have been spicier. The chips were so light and fluffy. Really good food!

Fresh ingredients, tasty food, and clean. Proverbial hole in the wall in Old Town Round Rock. Owner welcomes you and thanks you for coming when you leave. Felt like home. Their chips are my new favorite chips.

This is the very first time we had a complaint- The FOOD is amazing- What you get for the cost is a huge disappointment. We ordered family enchiladas, 12 enchiladas, and we got half a small paper bag of chips. We paid $9+ for a very small queso, with the same 1/2 bag of chips, when all meals are listed with chips, it didn’t add up. We miss when you get chips and salsa for everyone, like they use to. Again, food is amazing!

Love their enchiladas, chips and salsa. As good or better than any place I've eaten in Austin, including Matt's, Gueros, Chuy's, etc.

We have become quite the regulars here at Recuerdo’s! We’re here 3-4 times a month, love it here. Beware: the salsa is SPICY but addicting! Consistently great food (even takeout!) and even greater service. My favorite Mexican restaurant in Austin 100%.

The beef enchiladas and chicken enchiladas were fantastic. Handles takeout very well, we did curbside and the food was still good at home. Top tier Mexican food here.

First off no sweet tea. Ordered the huevos rancheros...a 1 on the scale. If not for the jalapeños in the sauce it would have no flavor. The picante sauce is tomatoes sauce with a touch of cilantro and onion... I also ordered the menudo... this is where they stepped up their game. It was a solid 8 with great flavor and not loaded with just hominy. The only reason for the 8 is they only have tortillas with it instead of toasted pãn. The overall price i think was a bit high...$21.60 for the rancheros and menudo. In south Texas this would have been $16-17 at best I believe. Other than that the waitresses were good and it seemed like a friendly, clean place. Update... after the bill came and I gave my card for over $21 they added a .86 service charge... come on now. I can see that on orders less than five dollars or something but this is ridiculous. Dropped from a 3 to 2...
