The 'deckhand' style oysters were great, nice size. Love their salt and pepper calamari but we got with shrimp this time which was great, love this dish, they're breading is always flavorful and light. The addition of onion, jalapeno and cilantro with the slaw is super tasty! Kids shrimp and Fry basket was plenty and reasonably priced. The mussels dish with rice had a ton of flavor, kind of like a kicked up super spicy ramen broth. My only complaint was the service, our waitress was incredibly slow and took forever to bring the things that we asked for and did not check on us unfortunately but I've been a fan of deckhand so far and am super pleased they have the new location right near the old!

Food was very good. Fries, rice, shrimp, crab legs and sauce. Prices were good too. I left off a star because the Wednesday I went they weren’t broiling or frying oysters. I literally only went for the oysters. Also because my 7yo splashed garlic butter in his eyes and needed a sink to rinse them. Since they were prepping to close, they locked the bathrooms and offered us a cup of water. Kinda insensitive. If you’re going for something specific, ask if it’s available before sitting.

Great seafood! Til august 2022, they are out of oysters and cakes said the indoor signage. Great portions. Papaya salad was huge. Crabby fish sauce and spice level goes from 0-20. Crying phoenix has mild moderate and high spice levels and it’s glass noodles with garlic and spicy Thai flavors. The fried fish hush puppies and shrimp delicious!! GUMBO we got the smallest cup size and should have gotten the bowl to go. It was delicious my most favorite part. We will be back. Curious for the desserts like cake when it comes back. Also missed the oysters. Thanks y’all! Oh and if you want the Thai dipping sauce on their tables it’s also an extra charge.

The oysters are as big as my fist! So meaty and juicy and refreshing for summer with some cool beer to pair. Great for afternoon lunch when it's not too crowded! I hear this place is packed for dinner. The crawfish is so fresh! Scrumptious and the perfect mild-spicy consistency. The gumbo was good too. We didn't try the Thai food but I think this place is astounding for the boil and seafood here. I keep thinking about those oysters! Go before season ends.

We visited a couple weeks ago for the first time. I had a craving for fried fish and tried the Fried Catfish Fillets. They were wonderful! The fish was flaky and perfectly cooked, the coating was crunchy and it was hot (right out of the fryer). Yum! The best part was the price and very generous portion. Two meals, including tea for $25! We decided we'd found another fish place. Sadly, yesterday we went again and this time the same fish was hard and chewy! Very disappointed but will try one more time, soon, in order to have the final verdict.

Ive been coming here for almost 10 years now and the food and service is always spot on!! It's a "make a reservation" type of place on the weekends. Only thing I can hit on is the New location needs some love, feels a bit bland, from the menus to the decor/layout. Slacking on that TRUE Deck Hands touch.

It's okay. I wasn't really impressed with the po boy. The bread was stale and overwhelmed the three pieces of shrimp. The service was good despite the place being packed all the time. They seemed to have plenty of parking and were turning tables over quickly.

Deckhand did not disappoint! Brand new building also and it looks great. We went during their soft opening and the staff worked very hard to level set there may be delays as they figure everything out and they took great care of us. We got the ‘Salt and Pepper Calamari’ as an appetizer. I had the ‘Salmon Wrap’ and my wife had the ‘Crying Phoenix’ w/shrimp. Everything turned out great! We’re repeat customers and will definitely be back! 5 stars!

I got really sick yesterday when I ordered six raw oysters from the bar still paying for it today
I started out with the merlot and six raw oysters and then I ordered the spring rolls I got the vegetable instead of the shrimp it was ok then I got the catfish with the crab meat but I couldn’t eat it because I was really sick . The staff was excellent but the food got to me so bad that right when I got out of my car at the LaQuinta I started throwing up all over the parking lot
I honestly don’t know why my body acted this way because I eat raw oysters all the time at home in FL
Anyway I did like the place but just confused why I had such a reverse reaction to the food. I will admit that when I went into eat I was on an empty stomach so maybe eating these types of raw oysters on an empty stomach wasn’t a good idea, so I am not blaming the establishment but I am confused why that happen to me.
If I were you I would still go there but make sure if you are on an empty stomach to maybe consider a different appetizer to start with I was thinking maybe I should have started with the spring rolls first and not the oysters anyway I did like restaurant and staff

I went there for the first time. We were seated right away and the server cane over right quickly. We just made it in time for the lunch special. I ordered fried catfish. It came with a small bowl of gumbo. Very tasty, but I'm not a Cajun. Service was very good. The server even brought me fresh fries after I mistakenly put hot sauce instead of ketchup on them. Kept our tea glasses topped up. I'll be back.

I just witnessed something disgusting.
A table was brought a plate of oysters that they didn't order. Kids were playing with them and laughing over the food. The server then picked them up to serve them to the correct table.
THEN...a male serve, shaved head, beard... That was handing money and tickets picked up beard on someone's plate that's about to be served and put it on another plate. So disgusting.
Never again byyeee.

Deckhand was packed on a Friday night. Friendly servers, bar staff and busboys. Everyone was having a good time, even while standing and waiting for a table. Busy, relatively loud, great 80’s music and fun place to have dinner. Family friendly, but a diverse group of 20-60 somethings were there for our visit. Great date night location. If you want a nice quiet spot; this isn’t. So bring some ear plugs and don’t miss the fantastic food.
The oysters were delicious, typical dishes like the fried catfish were awesome and huge, but the signature Asian inspired seafood options were also fantastic.
On top of the great food, the prices were very reasonable considering the high price of seafood in general.
Looking forward to our next visit!

Great place! Service and food were on point! The Boudin Ball wrapped in bacon was amazing and the vietcajun crawfish did not disappoint!

We had the catfish bites appetizer, Deckhands captains and combo platter and house salad! A bit of a wait (on a Saturday night) BUT well worth a wait!!!

Hot steaming gumbo was served almost immediately after we ordered. It was great especially on a cold chilly day. Our waiter was most amazing, great service and attention. This will become our go to spot Fer sure.

Last time I tried Oysters, I didn’t like them. Decided to try them again at Deckhands, they were amazing. The crawfish was also very good. Fried calamari was awesome. The only thing I didn’t like, was someone spiked my beer with alcohol. I walked out of there with a buzz! Well played Deckhands, well played!
