Tacos El Rey De Oro

Chips and fresh, flavorful salsa were brought to our table as soon as we sat down. I ordered the suizo chicken burrito. It was absolutely huge, so only ate half and took the rest home for a hearty lunch the following day. Our waitress was friendly and helpful, and the food was served hot and everything tasted fresh. The food overall was not spicy by any means but the red sauce from the bottle was. The verde sauce from three bottle was mild but tasty. The other order from our party was a plain chicken burrito. I thought it was a bit bland for Mexican food but the red sauce helped with the flavor. Also note, that from on the front of the menus, they will charge you extra for additional chips and salsa brought to your table. Your best value would be to stick with the individual menu items, as they were very reasonable, while most of the full dinner items seemed a bit pricey.

I went here because the Los Comales was under renovation, and they didn't let me down! I ordered one torta, which had beans, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream (the usual), and al pastor (marinated pork), which had a nice flavor. Their red sauce was also good, nice and spicy, just the way I like it! I live pretty far away, but I'll be back next time I'm in the Round Lake area. Well done, Tacos El Rey De Oro!
