Was visiting New Paltz and discovered this town and restaurant by chance.Lisa, the owner, welcomed us as if we were family. Their chef prepared the most delicious kabobs and eggplant. Best Middle Eastern restaurant I've been to. If in the area again I'd go out of my way to enjoy the delicious food and cozy ambiance there.
I love the buffet. My favorite is the spinach and chickpeas! All vegetarian options are good. She makes the best baklava I have ever have! And I have been around. I am no stranger to honey soaked philo dough!
Very friendly and attentive service the owner and server were both very nice and welcoming. We had pizzas and will definitely be back to try more of the menu!
We recently had the most incredible meal at The Garden House. Amazing middle eastern food. The chef/owner is amazing and the outdoor eating has a bit of funk . We loved it and recommend it highly.
I love this place so much. They have a beautiful outdoor setup and the food has always been consistently fresh, seasoned, and delicious. The chicken shawarma sandwich is among the best I’ve had in NY/NJ & the carrot cake is perfectly moist and not insanely sweet. Highly recommend both of them. They also have fresh pressed juice & Arabic coffee. What’s not to love about this place besides the fact that there aren’t multiple locations?!
FYI, they’re cash only, but there’s an on-site ATM. They’re also closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and Google isn’t allowing them to update it, so plan accordingly. They also close sometime between 9p and 10p, so call ahead if that might affect you.
The handcut French Fries were the best ever!! The baklava was light and not too sweet, just perfect. Eclectic surroundings, one of a kind!!!!
This is a place where 5 stars are not enough! The food is incredibly good, and super fresh - everything is done right at the spot. The owners are beyond friendly. They heard we had a birthday girl with us, and they made the most amazingly delicious surprise cake for us. Big thank you for being such a great host! Can't wait to try the pizza too!!!💖
A unique experience, with minted carafes of water, Arabic music on the background, and intriguing décor. There is al fresco seating both on the front and back side of the restaurant, which was avoided during this review due to a rainstorm. The food is Middle Eastern, with carnivorous and vegetarian selections. There is a selection of bottled microbrews, several wines and sodas. Dessert is also offered. There is wi-fi, but the code was not requested during this review. The parking lot in the back is shared with local businesses, including a theatre, so it can be busy. The bathroom is clean and includes a shower, which undoubtedly somebody must have tried after three pinot grigios! On May 28th, 2021 the Ulster County Libertarian Social Club convened at this location.
Great garden restaurant with Mediterranean food. A nice step for those hesitantly returning to life outside the home, as vaccinations opens up possibilities.
