We had an excellent lunch! Service was great and the atmosphere was welcoming! We definitely recommend!
I've been coming to the Red Caboose Motel just about every year since I was little, and Casey Jones' Restaurant is always part of that tradition. Of course there have been changes over the years, but the current owners have done awesome things throughout the restaurant and the entire motel. I would highly recommend coming and checking it out!
We had our Thanksgiving lunch here and we all agree that we have never had turkey that tasted that good! The portions were large, fresh and delicious. It was fun to eat in a railway car and we loved the store that had all kind of fun goodies in it!
They also have a petting zoo, Buggy rides, and railway cars that you can book to sleep in. Really a unique gem, so glad we found it.
What a great place to eat. We had one of the train cars to ourselves for dinner and it was wonderful. Our waitress was awesome and made several good recommendations. My son had the alfredo with chicken, and it was incredible! There was so much he had it the next day too. It started to rain really hard while we were here so we stayed and had dessert. The carrot cake was delicious. Overall the food is great, it is clean, and the gift shop has lots of fun things to buy. Don't forget about the free petting zoo outside.

Had dinner here during our stay one night. Dining in a diner car was so fun. The portions were great, the food was great. I had a burger and it was almost too much for me to finish. Cooked perfectly, fresh thick patty, not your typical frozen patty. My husband had the crab cake sandwich and said it was delicious. One of our kiddos had the chicken tenders and the other had Spaghetti. They both raved about it. Our server was very sweet and attentive without being overly attentive. It was nice looking out over the train tracks while we ate. Would definitely eat here again on our next trip!
Very unique, fun atmosphere eating in a fixed up railroad car! The food and service were excellent too! They also have Amish buggy rides on site! Definitely a place to check out off you're in the Lancaster/Strasbourg area!
We go to Lancaster at least twice a month and have never tried this restaurant. It was GREAT. From the food, to the staff, and to the atmosphere, especially if you like railroad history, this place is a ten plus. Breakfast was so good we decided to go for dinner. It did not disappoint. We will absolutely make this a sure stop when we visit. I highly recommend everyone try this restaurant. Ten plus rating!!
We had such a great experience here! Very cute restaurant.We got the crab cake sandwich which was great and the sweet corn fritters which were amazing! Good portions and service was quick and staff were friendly. Highly recommend if you’re in town!
Another hidden gem. Railroad car style dining with large meal portions. Service is off the charts efficient. Food came fast and was very tasty. Some small seasoning adjustments for my taste( only). A must stop if you are in the area. On the grounds is a petting zoo and Amish carriage rides.
The restaurant is inside an old train car which is awesome! Has a cute gift shop attached, and is right across from the railroad where the strasburg train tours go through. Next to their parking lot, there is a little petting zoo, we saw some adorable piglets who were so friendly!
Just out for a Sunday drive and found this place. Very fun. Nice folks good food in an old train dining car. Hotel looks great. Old train cars.
We ordered a burger, chicken corn soup, corn fritters and a Turkey Rachel, pecan and apple crumb pie. Everything was phenomenal! Great service and such a fun experience! We will definitely be back!
