Blue Fin

Okay, I love Blue Fin. Service is usually great no issues at all. Today though I am beyond disappointed. Before I explain, I understand things happen sometimes and I waitresses for 5 years I get that but today was not okay. My fiancé ordered food for lunch and his hibachi chicken was not in the containers it usually is it was in a to go container not strong enough and the box had broken and was all over the bag. So was the other chicken ordered. Neither of it was labeled either of what it was and it had the wrong rice in it. We didn’t make a big deal of it at all. Later tonight I ordered a roll. I got it and it was the wrong roll so I called to speak to somebody and while I completely understand people get busy this was not okay. I explained what happened and the woman on the phone first tried to quiz me on what was in the roll I wanted vs what I got even though I told her I get it every time. After which she was like ok what do you want me to do like put you down for a free roll or what. I asked if she could just refund the roll and she said no. So I asked to yes just put us down for a free roll then. I tried to explain we usually never have any issues but we’re very disappointed and appreciated her helping. She intercepted me said yup and hung up on me. As said we are usually very pleased with the service here but this was a horrible experience and we may begin going somewhere else after this.

I am here from Fort Lauderdale, a trained Chef with culinary degree from Johnson & Wales and close to two decades as a Chef. I’ve worked for James Beard Award Winning Chefs and a Michelin Star Chef with a place in Aventura, FL. I have to say, the consistency and quality of this restaurant is amazing. This would survive in South Florida which has hundreds of award winning restaurants and spits out mediocre ones monthly. I consistently get the Kani Salad, the Sweet Lime Curry, and the Angry Dragon Roll. I have had General Tso’s Chicken & Mongolian Beef, Appetizer Sampler, and Miso Soup. NOT ONCE have I been disappointed and have always gotten the same flavor and quantity of food. Lately I have been doing curbside and am always greeted by the lovely Ivy with a smile and ready food. I even get remembered as a repeat customer!!! This is a GEM of a restaurant here in tiny Rome. Thanks VERY much to the team at Blue Fin. You should be proud of what you have accomplished and continue to maintain. THANK YOU 🥰 Chef Greg

Food was ok, sushi rolls are so immense you can't properly enjoy them. Chefs refused to make a custom roll (tuna, cream cheese, scallions, nothing complicated or that they didn't already have). Ordered a glass of wine which came with lipstick marks on the edge. Would not recommend, and I'm not going back

The food was great. Even the lunch menu has a lot of choices. The ginger salad is delicious. The sushi is prepared to order and served with decorative and taste appropriate sauces. The bathroom was clean. Masks are in use by all staff members and guests. Hopefully that won't be an issue much longer.
