My wife and I have been to this restaurant several times in the past decade. I can still remember back when it was a new establishment, oftentimes crowded beyond capacity. Our latest trip was on a Saturday around Noon and it wasn’t crowded at all. We experienced good service and the food was good too. The plates were a bit old and worn but clean and did the job. I have included images of our order and our two young boys enjoyed their waffles and pancakes too. We will have to come back again soon to gain more experience and write a more detailed review!

Love love love..... My favorite breakfast restaurant ever. Super economic, friendly staff and great service always. Their food is the best, I strongly recommend stuffed french toast, pecan waffle and chilaquiles. Those are just to name a few of their great dishes. Their coffee is delicious and they always keep it coming, they only charge for the first serving and then the re-fills are free of cost. Will strongly recommend.

I love the BIG, sumptous breakfast plates of Egg'lectic cafe. It's worth every dollar one pays. A plate can be good shared for 2 adults with moderate tummies (hehe!) or an adult with a child. Interior is country - style and coffee is generous. Staff is very friendly and also generous with smiles. Will definitely come back to try the other plates. Btw there are so many options in the menu it will take a few minutes to choose.

This place is so awful. My friend got crepes and they were very bad in taste, very floury and just no taste, topped with strawberries that were not fresh. I got the pecan waffles and they were just so dry. The service is sloppy and it is impossible to talk to anyone. I have waited about 45 minutes just to speak to someone about the awful service. We told them we are not satisfied and they barely even gave me a discount for the drink I got. Definitely never coming back here and the service and manager is super rude, rolling her eyes and shaking her head. Overall, awful experience.

This is a cute little diner/restaurant that makes a great omelette. Hash browns were very tasty with cheese and onions. Nice place to stop on the way home from Chicago.

Portillo's is one of several food factories located at the intersection of W. Ontario and N. Clark in the heart of Chicago. Just across the street from the gigantic 50th anniversary McDonald's and Hard Rock Cafe, Portillo's has a broad offering, lots of seating and fast service. I opted for a loaded jumbo dog and got what I expected. A quick and serviceable meal. They have some cool old prohibition-era memorabilia and an interesting "outdoors but inside fake decor." A good tourist destination right along the hop-on hop-off bus line.

Great. Had a skillet early in the morning. Lovely. Was tired after a long flight and meal was divine. Unlimited coffee, fluffy pancakes. <br/>Highly recommend.

This is what a breakfast place should be. Everything I've eaten here so far has been great. The omelets, skillets, bennies, pancakes have all been amazing. Waitstaff was helpful and the food came out of the kitchen very quickly (within 5-10 minutes of ordering). Would definitely recommend for anyone in the Schaumberg and surrounding areas to give it a try.

Best breakfast!!!<br/>I'm always skeptical of breakfast spots with reviewers that claim that you've never had an omelette until you've had one here or that they would drive hundreds of miles for breakfast...but the reviews for Egg'lectic are legit, if not understated. Best omelette (Hey Ricky) I have ever had...no comparison, second place is not even close. Even the salsa was amazing!!! For me, hands down best breakfast place I have ever been to...anywhere. Great service too.

Great service, piping hot coffee, and friendly vibe make this a great stop off for any traveler and clearly a local favorite. Pecan roll French toast is off the chain. Specials look good too. Wish I could come every weekend!

This restaurant is an absolute treat! I've gone multiple times and not only is the food wonderful but the service is great. Their homemade cinnamon rolls are to die for.... Literally the best I've ever had!!! Also their wraps and omelets are splendid as well! You cannot go wrong here. A comfortable country atmosphere and absolutely great food at a even better price:)

Delicouse and creative breakfast. This place could be the best breakfest restaurant in the NW burbs. Their menu is extensive and they have the usual breakfast fare as well as gourmet choices. Their lunch menu is equally impressive. I recommend their Monte Cristo with raspberry preserve on top its killer!!

I love this place. When we're in Chicago / Schaumburg we always stop at the Egg'lectic Cafe, or as we call it - Egg'tastic Cafe for breakfast. Everyone here is wonderful... The food is fantastic and we really appreciate how friendly the entire staff is!<br/><br/>Our favorite meal? The spinach and bacon omelet with cream cheese, add roasted turkey. Yum!

Great Breakfast Place. I am pleased with the large variety of breakfast dishes you can order here. Their specials aren't shy about being creative with seasonal ingredients. I had the special of the day Blue Bayou Frittata with an upgraded side order of Pumpkin pancakes. If you like blue cheese and bacon, you will love this dish. The cooks are NOT shy on the blue cheese and are heavy handed with the bacon! The pancakes had a nice topping of spiced fruits. It had enough that you don't need syrup. One day when I have enough room in my stomach, I will try their signature item - Pecan Cinnamon Rolls - which look decadent.

Mmm Breakfast!. Just moved here from Minnesota and was craving a good breakfast where I didn't have to cook it myself. And honestly? It was the best diner breakfast ever. The menu had tons of things to choose from and I know I'll be going back there to try more!
