This was my first time trying Filipino food. We had a great experience.
The lady at the counter explained every dish to us and we pick what we thought we would enjoy.
Everything tasted good! We ordered rice and some stewed pork as well as noodles and chicken.
We also grabbed some frozen pork buns from the shop inside the restaurant.
Will come back to try something else.
Food was fantastic - chicken adobo and pork menudo were flavorful and delicious! Lunch time was busy so there was a decent wait but it was worth it - I'll be coming back to try some more stuff and to buy snacks from their mini market!
Let me first start this recommendation with this place is outstanding. Truly authentic home-style cuisine. If you had a Filipino friend or went to a Filipino function, this is the food you would get. Tasty and definitely made with love.
Now the details. This is authentic cuisine, don't expect just the flavor or an Americanized version of the food. This means the flavors are different from what most Americans are used to. The food can be oily. When you're cooking for flavor you're going to have some oil. Love it, embrace it. Some of the food is served on the bone. Sometimes you might get a little gristle. Don't be shy eat like you're at home. Cuz this is authentic home cooking. For those unfamiliar with Filipino cooking this is a great taste in an authentic bite.
The prices are very good. Very competitive for a fast-casual restaurant. It's very clean and there's plenty of seating.parking is easy even if you have to compete with people going to the market next door.
We stumbled across this lovely cafeteria style restaurant as it’s located in same shopping complex as the Tile Shop. Before agonizing over different shades of white bathroom tile, we decided to try out this restaurant as neither my husband or I have ever tried Filipino food. The restaurant was clean and had plenty of booth seating. We were a little confused at first on how to order because we saw no menu listing the various food items, but staff explained the various meat and veggie options. I ordered the barbecue pork with a delicious vegetable stew made with squash, shrimp, and long beans in a light coconut milk. It came with a heaping serving of white rice. My husband ordered same veggie stew and chicken adobo and liked his food as well. I grabbed a dessert—a rice cake called sapin-sapin—from their refrigerator as they are a small market and have prepared foods to take out as well. It was delicious! Would definitely go back again!
Great food, friendly staff & clean restaurant! Can't wait to try more on the menu.
Decided to try something new and try Filipino food for the first time. Could not have been happier with our choice.
The staff was amazing. I explained we had no idea what we were getting into and they provided a lot of detail and great recommendations. The food was absolutely delicious. Be sure to try the taro leaves in coconut milk. They are addictive and just the best.
Even though this was our first visit, the staff made us feel like regulars and lead us to a great meal. Highly recommend for a filling meal and great customer experience!
Absolutely wonderful food! The whole staff was very friendly, they explained what some of the dishes were that we were not familiar with. It was great seeing so many of the groceries that I grew up eating. It is worth the hour drive. We will be back!
I love their food especially the karekare, it has a slightly sweet squash taste which I like. I come here whenever I get a craving for karekare, although the last time I was here, the karekare tasted slightly different from the usual. I hope they didn't change their recipe.
So authentic! Affordable and always taste good! The owners are very lovely and polite! That’s why I don’t go to any other Filipino restaurant!
The owners are so so helpful and kind at KC Filipino!!! There is a cafeteria style restaurant and also a market area with snacks, pantry items and frozen foods!
My favorites that we ate were the lumpia, the pork sinigang and the flan!! The pork sinigang was so comforting and had such great flavors. The flan was so rich and decadent.
The owners recommended some of their favorite pastries and snacks to take home. The philippines bread house pastries are delicious (the hopia was amazing).
