This is your standard assembly line type place, where you choose your ingredients to make your bowl. Ingredients seemed fresh and the staff was fine. Nothing out of this world special but good enough.
I'm brand new to the Poke game but I freaking love it. I will definitely be coming back here and I will be searching for more Poke wherever I go.
Love their poke. Hunger satisfying, healthy, and delicious. Of the various poke places in area, I like their marinade for Hawaiian salmon and tuna the best. Very savory and not sweet! My "go to" place for poke and also for when I want to feel full and stay on my healthy diet.
Food was filling and very tasty. I enjoyed their salmon, Hawaiian salmon, and tuna in a rice bowl. Their seaweed salad was delicious. I got my food quickly. The counter girl did an efficient job making my food and was polite. I wish they had some indoor seating. It was raining outdoors so I didn't want to sit outside. I guess it's more of a take out place.
Great taste, less filling. Kind of like a chipotle for poke bowls. You get a base of rice, greens, or a mix. There are other toppings, like seaweed and carrots. There's the fish, which was high quality. And then some additional toppings and sauce. The staff was knowledgeable and willing to answer questions about any ingredients. The location itself was barebones and very small. This did not significantly impact my visit, as I got my food to go and was in and out quickly. Could use sriracha packets or something like that, but very good, highly recommended.
Hey man, look, the food is good. But the restaurant always looks like it's "going out of business" on the inside. Would a little paint, art, or decor kill you? It's sad because the dreary interior makes you wanna question just how fresh your poke really is 😏
Watch out Chipotle and Cava, here comes Honeyfish Poke where you can throw in raw fish and other sushi toppings over rice or green mixes till your heart is content. The menu offers a variety of rice and fresh vegetables as a base and as you go through the line, you can ask for different selections of fresh salmon & tuna meats topped with assorted fish roes, ginger and sauces. My small order was plenty to keep my stomach full for a while. There is no seating inside this little cafeteria style restaurant but one should be able to find an outdoor table or lounge chair in this recently renovated outdoor plaza at Congressional - provided that the weather is decent.
No-frills, fast-casual Poke Bowl joint with decent protein selection and all the classic toppings. I have thoroughly enjoyed my bowl each of the three times I have been.

Honeyfish Poke is an interesting and slightly quirky place. It's hard to categorize Honeyfish. It's fast casual. They offer rice and/or salad bowls topped with sashimi. I'm not sure whether it's Japanese food or Korean or a fusion of multiple Asian and American culinary traditions. One way or another, it's good! Throwing decent sashimi on a bed rice with some other condiments (e.g. edamane, seaweed salad) is going to be a winning strategy for most folks who appreciate Asian food. And these guys don't skimp on the sashimi either. It's high quality and decent quantity.
One things that's a little odd about this Rockville location is that the inside has a slightly "thrown together" feel that might be able to use a renovation or reorganization. Being fast cuasual, it's meant to allow people to form a line, but the place's limited size makes it very hard for people to line up without running into each other. Add that to lack of decor and one thinks these guys could benefit by consulting an interior designer. Don't let the look fool you though. Food's good.
