Cedar Rock Cafe - Rockford - Photo album

There are only 2 reasons I can't give this pace 5 stars. The first is that it's a little cramped inside, and the other is that the coffee here is... Not good. It's passable, especially if you like cream and sugar, but for a breakfast diner it really should be better. Everything else here was great!
Strawberry shortcake french toast! Unbelievably good, so good I ate 1/3 before I thought to take a picture.
An unexpected stop on our way to grab a quick breakfast. The service was great. I ordered a caramel latte and a strawberry parfait. Both were excellent. We will remember this place next time we are in the area! Not a lot of seating so don't be surprised if you have to wait a little during busy hours
Food was good, service was very friendly. The portions were a bit weird though. Hubby got a standard 2eggs, bacon, hash browns and a pancake in place of toast. There was a small upcharge for the pancake which was fine but the rest of the portion size was kind of small for the price. I got a western
I love this Mom & Pop place! I always feel welcome, like I'm with family once I walk in. Robert is amazing and I absolutely love Deanna! They have a decent menu and their prices are very reasonable. Plus, they have daily breakfast and lunch specials! Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!!
Extremely fast service! Very clean and cozy. Food was excellent and CHEAP!
Friendly people. Greeted immediately when we walked in the door. Greeted again as each employee walked by. Got the southern smile omelete. Tasted good. My rating would be 5 star if it was not cold in the middle. Will be back to try again. Will recommend others try too.
I ordered the Loaded Biscuits & Gravy plus I ordered a side of crispy bacon. The biscuits were very dense and chewy and there wasn't much gravy on them so they were on the dry side as well. Plus i didn't get my side of "crispy bacon" . I called to let them know that my order was short the bacon. The
Love this family owned diner. Go here for breakfast or lunch at least once a month. Dad cooks and daughter serves. Food is always great and so is the service. They always make my daughter's favorite even when it is not on the menu.
We always have a great experience eating here. The staff is great and this has quickly turned into our long standing go-to spot for meeting family for breakfast/lunch. The French Connection breakfast is my favorite!
The food and service are always exceptional! I love the ham and cheese omelet, but if I venture away from that, the French Connection is fantastic! Pair that with an amazing coffee, and you'll be glad you came.
Nice local place for locals (or non-locals) for breakfast or lunch. Good thick cut bacon 🥓. They have some unique creations for breakfast, which is available anytime. BLT is good here. Lots of toast options. Dessert options change daily.
We came here from out of town and were pleasantly surprised at how good the food and service was. Staff was very friendly and the food was great, I wish I had one of these in my hometown!
Seat yourself and pay at the front type of little diner. Very cozy environment with a delicious french toast and loaded sausage and gravy! Server was a bit overwhelmed at the time we were there so not much service, but still great.
Vegetarian sandwich: I didn't see any veggie sandwich options on the menu, so I asked for suggestions. The man there said he would whip up a vegetarian sandwich for me and he sure did. It was delicious! Thank you!
Yesterday I was able to sit down in the restaurant and actually enjoy being waited on! Usually I order online and pickup to bring home. The waitress was so helpful and nice that I left her a 60 percent tip lol! I'll be back there again maybe today 😃
