I really enjoyed being at this place. This place is very close to JFK. So Tourists if you plan to visit New York in your layover time this is the place for you. You can see the new York sky line. Clean beach, good food, nice boardwalk. Careful at this time of the year baby sharks are coming to the shore. Good for cycling and disability access is good too. Evenings start off with some live rock music on the boardwalk.
This place is a good retreat from the hustle and bustle of the Manhattan. Decent Train connectivity.

This part of Rockaway beach is much more safer then other part. Beach has bound back after hurricane Sandy back in 2012. This part has BBQ's and lots of family outings.

Beach is wide and mile long- clean and well kept walks
Food is cutting edge gourmet- seafood,Latin cuisine of many countries,BBQ and onsite Whits wood burning pizza oven!!!
